madmongo
I didn't post a link to Sawyer's original post because the link I had for it didn't work. After some googling I found a working link to the quote (and other Sawyer quotes):https://fallout.gamepedia.com/Blog:News/New_Vegas_dev_quote_roundup This links to Sawyer's original post on the bethsoft forums:http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1142430-perks-on-companions/?p=16697594&fromsearch=1&do=findComment&comment=16697594 Edited December 11, 2017 by madmongo

Thanks for going above and beyond to find those links. Interesting info in both. Added to the article. -Dubious-
trashgarbage666
Sorry, I'm not picking up on your point. I quoted madmongo's quote of J. E. Sawyer as he didn't provide a link to the original post. My original preamble sentence used the term "companions", not "NPCs" as I do recognize the distinction. The only use of the word "NPC" is Sawyer's. I welcome any suggestions to make it clearer that don't alter his actual words. Belatedly: Or are you objecting to placing that tip under the "Custom NPCs" section? That choice was because that article doesn't have a separate section for "Companions" for the same reason you pointed out: "all companions are NPCs, but not all NPCs are companions." However, taking that into consideration I have added some emphasis and that distinction. -Dubious- Guess I just misunderstood you the first time. Not exactly a big deal. dubiousintent
Even misunderstandings can lead to improvements. I think the tip is better presented now as a result. -Dubious-
