Mysterious CTD

Hey, im currently in the keep where you have to retrieve azuras star but keep CTDing over and over again. Strange thing is that i havent added or removed a mod for at least 20 hours of playing SkyrimSE and at start everything went pretty good, except some fps drops and lags at weird locations like the arretino residence in WIndhelm, then it started with really rare CTDs, like 1 in every 10 hours of playing, but at the moment i cant finish a fight without getting sent back to my desktop.

now I take it that you've sorted your load order with LOOT and cleaned up the Master files. And by looking at your list I'm wondering if there might not be a conflict between your Alternate Start - Live another Life and Eli Breeze home mods. The reason for that is the fact is that they both use Breeze home. and unless stated will/might cause problems.

But not always. as I'm running the Alternate satart with another mod and they are working fine together. But check on both of the mods pages and see what the authors have posted about these two mods together or in the posts to see if you can find anythng there.

Yes i used loot to organize the load order, it actually tells me that there are some deleted references and navmeshes, theyre all from the official dlcs though so i guess they should be allright. Maybe i gotta clean up the master file, but to be honest im not as tech savy as the average modder so can i still do that or should i have done it before even starting the game and would it cause me to lose my progress?

NEVER clean Skyrim.esm no matter what anyone tells you unless you want to have to reinstall your entire game all over again. Also, i personally do NOT recommend cleaning Update.esm since essentially it is an extension of Skyrim.esm

 

These are the only vanilla files I recommend cleaning, below

 

3) Dawnguard.esm

4) Hearthfires.esm

5) Dragonborn.esm
