Request for help to modify f4se to f4seVR

The currant VR version of fallout 4 was modified from an early version of the base game with the steam VR support added to it so it should not be hard to redirect it to run the fallout4VR.exe . I have tryed to figure it out myself and asked one of f4se's creators for help but since they do not have VR the did not seem to interested. I currently have a toon of fallout 4 mods running on my VR version and it seems to work better than the none VR version with the same load, I just need a working version of f4se (as I bet a lot of others do to) to run a few mods that require it. There game version I get seems to be 1.0.33 . I have dotpeek and Visual Studio 2017 how ever I can not find what I need to make it work and help is greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you, thanks.

I hope they make F4SEVR but I am guessing they are busy with Skyrim Special Edition Script Extender.

I am thinking about getting into VR and If they do make F4SEVR that would probably convince me to go out and buy one. I want to play Fallout 4 VR but don't know if I'd still want to while missing out on Script Extender. I haven't even ever played Special Edition Skyrim for this reason as well, I am waiting for the Script Extender and until that day comes or TES VI releases I am probably sticking with reg Fallout 4 & reg Skyrim. I am content to wait however long it may take as it does seem like it's much more difficult to do for the remaster(maybe because 64bits???). Maybe if VR would be easier they tried that first perhaps?

Even if you managed to modify F4SE to work with VR, you would not be allowed to redistribute it though

That would be theft

But if he did figure it out he could contact the F4SE devs and give it to them? If I figured it out somehow I would certainly want to give it to them so an official release can be done and the authors can make Script Extender mods for VR, though I suspect the odds of that happening would be similar to me stepping on a chunk of solid gold randomly sitting outside my house.

I already said I was in contact with them and yes I said to them in my last email that if I got it working that I would give it to them to check over and release on there silverlock.org page. I would never release someone else's intellectual property with out there explicit consent. Sorry I should have said that in my request for help.

Just stating my point of view which is I don't think anybody would steal something like Script Extender. For any people who care about SE I am sure the idea is simply wanting to be able to use Script Extender mods and also get the F4SEVR out there so the authors can make cool mods for VR. From my point of view Settlement Building is the main appeal for FO4 VR and for that we certainly are going to need Place Everywhere and the rest of the great Script Extender based mods otherwise we face some of the same limitations as the console versions which of course don't have an Script Extender. VR appeals to me for building but in the current situation I will not switch to it, I will stick with regular FO4 for the time being.

I am pretty sure there would still be bugs and for that of course the silverlock team will be required. My thinking is that there's possibly technical walls to overcome, where the solution might be surprising. It's certainly a good thing you're doing.

It seems odd to me how things appear to be going slower for SKSE64 development, I think in the past games Bethesda helped a bit with SE but maybe not anymore.

Thank you that is what I am working towards. The silverlock team says that that " There are no plans to support the VR version of fallout 4 VR - I don't own it nor the equipment needed to run it." My hope is to not just get a working copy for me but something with the permissions and hopefully support of the silverlock team that all VR fallout users can get and use through the sliverlock.org site and if not there then on the nexus with there permission. I just found 010 editor that opens f4se .exe and .dll files but they are in hex and I am not familiar with it so it will take me a while to get it going. If anyone know how to work with this please let me know what I need to use and learn and your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks everyone
