Fallout Wanderers Edition Crashing?

Win7 running on a BootCamp partition.. "Can You Run It" says I am well beyond the requirements for FO3. Game runs fine on Steam without mods. Trying to get FWE to run (I've played the game many times on console -- very excited to see cool new stuff on PC)

I can get the game running, and go through the birth scene.. But as soon as I select "Wake up from the dream" it crashes. Sometimes it lets me interact with the terminal but as soon as I move on it crashes.

Here's what I have installed (via FOMM, and yes I have FOSE installed correctly) in this order:

Fallout 3.esm

CRAFT.esm

CALIBR.esm

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esp

All but the last item are bold.

Help?

OOPS! Sorry, never mind. Apparently I needed this fix.

As much as I would hate to say, I'm new to the whole modding scene. I've encountered the same problem with my game crashing just at the first slide. Why? I have no clue but for reference my computer CAN run the game and mods. I will post my plug-ins load order. Hopefully that can help.

FWE and FOOK do not work together. Choose one or the other. They each change an enormous amount of the game and conflict with each other. Have you ever started the game without mods? You also need to move FWE .esm up in your load order. All .esm are to be placed at the top of the load order with the Fallout.esm first followed by the dlc's then the other .esm. The .esp will follow after all the .esm.

Well, I decided to clean up my mods. Deleting everything and re-installing FWE and MMM. I followed a turtorial by Gophersvids. Everything worked fine up until we got to the end of the process. When I try to launch through FOSE I don't even get a first slide before a crash. Unfortunately I don't know what caused the crash. The game is being run in Windows XP service pack 3 on two cores. I hate asking stuff like this because I feel like a nuisance, any help is ALWAYS appreciated.

I'm not sure if I'm high hacking this thread now, or mixing things.

I have installed Fallout Mod Manager (latest Version) and FOSE. I can use FOSE to launch FO3 from the Mod Manager.

Im trying to install FWE - FO3 Wanderes Edition 6.0 (Part 1 + 2 + 6.03 Hotfix)

1st Problem: When I'm activating Part 1 I get the information, that " Archive invalidation does not appear to be active. ...", even though it's activated within the Mod Manager.

2nd Problem: If I do continue the activation, thereby ingnoring Problem 1, it get's activated. I can activate Part 2 and still start FO3 (didn't check if the Mod is working though). When I try to activate the Hotfix, I get promted to overwrite some files, which I do. Afterwards the game CTD when trying to launch it.

Fallout3.esm

CRAFT.esm

CALIBR.esm

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Optional Restore Tracers (automatics only).esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Optional Restore Tracers.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Optional VATS Halftime.esp

Total active plugins: 15

Total plugins: 15

For one thing, I'm missing the CRAFT.esp part.

Secondly, I've start FO3 with just Part 1 and 2 and "wake up". I Can use the terminal, but no leave (door inaccessible).

Does anybody has an idea?

BR,

Edward

The reason the game crashes is that you do not have the necessary master files for FWE - DLC, uninstall them. Use only one of the Restore Tracers, not both. There is no CRAFT.esp.

Also, are you having a Crash to Desktop (CTD). If so, what terminal can you use and what door is inaccessible?

Hey, decided to resurrect this thread because title fits my problem. Not sure if anyone still around, but figured that since the Fallout 4 announcement, there may be others experiencing an expedited relapse... Maybe even someone mod clever :P

I have FWE installed (I've always been a FOOK guy, so this is the first time for me). There wasn't any troubles until Paradise Falls. Simply can't enter the slaver compound, instant ctd. I can enter if I un-check FWE (with all it's plugins). I can not enter with only FWE checked. Must be some missing FWE stuff that the slavers are supposed to have, but for some reason do not...

I use FoMM.

The load order when only loading FWE is as following:

Fallout3.esm

Anchorage.esm

BrokenSteel.esm

Zeta.esm

ThePitt.esm

PointLookout.esm

Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm

CRAFT.esm

CALIBR.esm

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm

---

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC BrokenSteel.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel.esp

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced (BrokenSteel).esp

(I've tried just loading with the last Follower plugin checked, I'm not sure if I need both)

I have verified that FALLOUT.ini has the following settings:

uGridsToLoad=5

bUseThreadedAI=1

INumHWThreads=2

FOSE installed correctly.

Machine stats (shouldn't be the culprit):

i7 4720hq

gtx 980m

8gb RAM

SSD

Load order should be:

Fallout

Anchorage

ThePitt

BrokenSteel

PointLookout

Zeta

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel has an .esm file header but an .esp file extension and should load as your last .esm file.

Place the FWE plugins in the same order. Use only one Followers Enhanced.
