jet4571
Which game are you talking about? This forum is for all Nexus covered games so thats quite a few for someone to guess which one you are modding for. And this thread really should be in that games mod discussion. Isilmeriel
you need to set it to a faction hostile to the player, under one of the the NPC editor tabs. Set it to something like a bandit or monster faction, or create your own.

Ironman5000
Have you navmeshed the new area? If your just testing NPC behaviour it's best to navmesh beforehand so that they can move around freely and interact with the environment.
simplesim
Have you navmeshed the new area? If your just testing NPC behaviour it's best to navmesh beforehand so that they can move around freely and interact with the environment. No i did not navmesh the area, as they seems to be able to move around without problem, the frustrating thing is that these npcs just stand there doing nothing looking silly. I strike them, and they didn't even bother to hit me in return. Look at the pics to the colosseum here, it's all nicely done, but without the enemies, it's kinda useless mod. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=12666 Not promoting my mod, just that I couldn't figure out how to put images here.Very discouraged and I guess I have to put this mod into the bin. EditAlright I did one final test, I raised an island on the map of Tamriel at Solitude, I didnt navmesh the area, I took the default enemies and placed them on the island and I went there to see if they would attack me. Once I was on that island, the draugrs came charging at me and I didn't even have to provoke them. So my guess, I must be missing something in the new world. Ok, then why not make the colosseum in the Tamriel map right on that island, yea I thought of that too, and I placed the colosseum on the island, strangely, as I expected it, some mesh and textures don't appear at all making the colosseum look broken. Yes, I did check the box for full LOD on the model mesh itself and still this happens. At time, the mesh loaded but the textures did not making it look invisible. The creation kit in my opinion is somehow broken but not unsable, it just didn't do most of the work right.Actually the stairs leading to the level where the spectators' seats isn't showing, yea I could do away with the stairs but will it look good? lol a colosseum without stairs.......Any suggestions please as I hate to see my effort on the colosseum goes to waste cos I spent a great deal of time on it. Ironman5000
If your having problems with meshes and textures not showing correctly you might have missing paths. Assuming you did your texture work in Nifskope you should double check the directories are correct with the textureset paths, I used to make the mistake of doing my work in Nifskope then re-organising my files into different folders so that nothing showed up properly  ! The CK just loves the excuse to flash error windows in your face but they can be ignored most of the time. The mod i'm working on adds new weapons and monsters, and whenever the CK tries to load them it goes "AAGH! What the hell is that!?" but they work fine in-game. I haven't messed about with LOD much so can't help out much there, except I know that the dragons use a seperate simpler mesh and texture at a distance - check the dragon traits tab. In response to the Navmeshing, enemies can attack without it but will not behave properly like give chase, use furniture, and register walls and obsticles. When you see enemies trying to run through a wall persistently it's because the navmesh is flawed, so it's another reason to get it done and it is a very simple process. If you're unclear I always find video tutorials helpful, here's a few at a glance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54blQ3DlaB8 andhttp://www.shacknews.com/game/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/videos/11914/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-creation-kit-navmesh-tutorial-trailer Edited March 26, 2012 by Ironman5000
