Alexesche
I'm having the same CTD problem as everyone else. I understand from what I have read in this forum that the 1.5 patch could possibly conflict with kill move Mods, so is it possible that the patch could also conflict with other animation Mods like "CHSBHC - BBP - Nude and Jiggly Mod," causing the CTD's? ProjectVRD
Yes 1.5 went live on Steam today 3/21. I didn't use the 1.5 beta so I can't answer that for ya. Steam updated me automactically to 1.5 even though I had it set to not update automactically. Also I forgot to backup my 1.4.27 Tesv.exe file. I have mods that use SKSE and Script Dragon so normally I keep using the old version until both SKSE and Script Dragon are updated to the new version. SKSE updates really quick and actually have had versions for the last 2 beta releases on Steam. It takes Script Dragon usually about a week to udate to the new version. Same here, I am really annoyed about that! Like, really really annoyed. And I know what caused it! Steam had an update last week and it reset that particular option, all other Steam options remain as they were so go in there again and set your Auto Update back to the "No, leave my ******* games alone because I will update when I god damn good and ready!" option... well after this episode I wish it was worded like that, ridiculous! My plug-ins's can be found in my signature if anybody wants to compare. Edited March 22, 2012 by ProjectVRD
solidus2845
I always use offline mode, and judging by these comments on early 1.5 I'm glad. Steam offers nothing I want - Achievements, statistics, friends/chat, a bunch of ads, 10 minutes of "preparing to launch Skyrim." You get the idea. I did jump on and update my platform last week when I wanted to update to the beta 1.5, but immediately set it back to offline mode when I was ready to play. I have never ever ever received an unwanted update to my Skyrim when I started keeping it in offline mode since the very first Skyrim patch that shocked me; So if steam doesn't offer you anything you want, just keep it in offline mode. Forget the automatic update options, just force it offline until you see a mod you want that requires a new version of Skyrim.
Asangard1
I am not having a problem with the Killmove+ mod. As I said before for me it was the Dovahkiin Hideout mod that was causing my crashes. Once I disabled Hideout I haven't had a crash since and Killmove+ is still enabled. Deleted1016523User
This is really strange. Some got CTDs after 1.2, others after .3, .4 and now 5. And some have had them since before any of those. I started getting CTDs after the 1.4 came out. And sadly, you CANNOT turn off Automatic Updates. Once you do it, then go back to check it, its back on. Which is why I play a pirate version. I bought the game, it worked, now it don't, so I got no choice. And I hate it. Also, I have NO mods on either the bought Skyrim or the pirated one, so whop dee doo. Endure the pain I guess. mmarkovich
I disabled the Dovakin hideout mod and still had CTDs. Open to sugggestions as this is driving me crazy, play change cells, restart, paly change cell, restart...had to be a better way.
Trykz
From everything I've tried, the only way I could stop the CTDs completely, was to deactivate EVERY player housing mod I have. Dovahkiin Hideout, Retreat, Lakeside Home, Riverview Home, and even the basement mod that adds basements to the vanilla player homes. As I deactivated each one in turn, I noticed I could play longer without crashing. Once ALL housing mods were disabled, the CTDs stopped. I played for hours last night and today, and not one CTD until I installed that PlayerShip Home mod. About 10 minutes into a clean save, BOOM, CTD. My guess is, most of the player housing mods will need to be thoroughly updated and re-released. Bethesda likely broke a lot of mods with this patch. But mostly the housing mods. Or so it would seem at least.
BaronofHe11
Were all those mods started before the CK was out? I'm thinking mods created in part or total without the CK might have put in unstable bits.
Asangard1
Posted by Tronak66 Today, 04:22 PM Thanks so much Asangard1, good news bad news lol, disableing hideout did the trick:) Dont know how how I'm gonna get my loot out of there though, I guess I am gonna have to console the items I cant remake, and start from scratch:( You can re-enable the hideout and go back to a save game where everyting was still in your hideout. Gather everything up and exit. You will move slowly. I was able to do this without a crash then I disabled the mod. I hope this helps and good luck.
