WyvernADR
Well I use an ATI AMD Mobility Radeon 5730 with updated drivers at 12.3 version. I just cleaned up the Temp folder and now I'm going to see if water is there. By the way this missing water also show up in the caves, or in some holes where should be water you know? Some kind of trap I guess, but without water they became true traps indeed since I cannot go out without the water that makes me raise the surface to jump out of it :P Best Regards Edit: Ok I use CCleaner for cleaning my system and installed a mod named Water and everything works correctly. Thanks for helping me guys ;) Best Regards Edited March 22, 2012 by WyvernADR
WyvernADR
Hi guys, This missing water is getting me very annoyed you know? here's a fresh screen: What damn could cause this? Also in a cave where should be water but there's no water at all... Any other else is experiencing this same problem? Best Regards
JD1
I have the exact same problem, started when I installed Water and Terrain Enhancement Redux. I have an Nvidia, I cleared system's temps, now when I disable the mod the textures are still missing, wasn't missing before, like if the mod replaced original files.Very annoying, I will try out of few more things tonight and see if there is a solution. Brandy1123
To clear out your temp files, open Start and enter %temp% in the search bar reboot your system then access your temp folder as above. You more then likely can purge everythign you see. If you get a folder/file that says protected, unable to open or not available (or similar) let that one be. I am not telling you to do this, I am just pointing out where your temp files sits and if you opt to do this - ON YOUR OWN FREE WILL. A good program for clearing up residual disk clutter is CCleaner from piriform. It used to be free and you can get it from Piriform, Tucows, CNET or a few thousand other places. Don't forget, if your system is cluttered, it more then likely is fragmented. Any system, especially a lower/middle end system can gain precious clock cycles by keeping your drive data optimized. Defrag it.
JD1
Well you're gonna laugh... I started my game and I thought maybe the system didn't have time to load all textures while I saved my game 2 days ago, so today I fast travel to another location and came back to the missing texture's location... wasn't missing anymore lol. I guess he had the same problem than I do, just load an older game (that's why I save a new game every 2 hours) and fast travel back to the location and it shouldn't be missing anymore, I think it's just a memory issue at this point, but it's weird that it never happened before, maybe because the mods use more memory than the original textures/meshes which would make sense, but everything's fine... for now! And thanks Brandy for your help, very appreciated, clearing my temps probably help my system nonetheless.
