X Button Always Prompts me for Stimpaks

Hey everyone. I downloaded a bunch of mods. I play the game one-handed and bind the LMB to "X" and the RMB to "C".

 

However, during the intro part, I keep getting these three weird prompts.

I'm not sure what mod is causing this. Here's my load order. I'm not at all confident in it.

Before trying to correct the prompts, you need to correct your load list. It is in no way a load order.

 

There are various load list examples available on the mod pages for the larger mods. I suggest you read them. Or you can use B.O.S.S. to sort your mods. https://github.com/boss-developers Disregard the note to use LOOT.

 

Never use LOOT to sort FO3 mods if you want a functioning game. After you get your load list corrected, you can then begin troubleshooting.

 

Also, never start a new game with mods active. The game was developed before mods and having any active mods during the game tutorial can cause strange problems. Namely, the game will freeze during the birth scene.

 

You also need compatibility patches for your various mods. Sprint mod is unnecessary as it is part of FWE.

Looks like your X key is used by Fallout Wanderer's Edition's "Triage" system,which is how you heal your limbs in the mod. This requires,at bare minimum,Stimpaks. No amount of load order tweaking will change this. You need to either re-bind the Triage hotkey via the in-game config menu,or disable the feature altogether via the same config menu.

 

I suggest picking up patches for FWE,if you haven't already. The Blackened Patches will make FWE play nice with a bunch of mods,most notably Mart's Mutant Mod. However,it doesn't have a FWE+Weapon Mod Kits patch,so the FOIP Patches for that will serve that purpose. You also need a special patch to make FWE,WMK,and Iron Sights to play nicely together; A quick search should scrounge that up for you.

 

Of note is the FOIP page I linked. There's an easy to understand load order template on that page,and following it should ensure minimal load order issues.

 

But,I should reiterate; Your current issue,regarding Triage,attacking,and your X key,is not a load order issue. It's simply a case of a feature assuming two handed play,which can be 100% solved in-game.
