Tragthemercenary
Please note that this worked on my game, on my personal computer. There is no guarantee that it will work for everyone. I've played Skyrim for many years, now, and one of the most irritating problems I've had is what I will call the "Black Face Bug". You know what I mean ... an NPC's face is one color, while the rest of his/her body is another. Sometimes, there is a problem with Apachii Sky Hair associated with it, with the infamous purple or blue hair bug. This is what caused it, in my game: I was running over 215 mods, and one of them was an NPC Overhaul Mod, but I had numerous mods which modified the faces of specific NPCs, or a group of NPCs. What was my problem? I didn't take into consideration the overlap between these mods. In other words, though the mods did not necessarily conflict with each other, there was, nevertheless, a conflict. Some of these conflicts caused the Blue/Purple Hair bug. This is what I did about it: I decided to run with only one NPC Overhaul mod, along with Apachii Sky Hair. I had to carefully look through my mods, to determine which were possibly conflicting with each other. Then, I deleted every mod, except for Apachii and the Overhaul Mod. I started a new game ... almost a necessity ... and voila, everyone was perfect. Note that this worked for me because I put a lot of thought into it, and none ... absolutely NONE of the fixes posted online, from multiple websites, worked. So, the next time you've simply got to add Bijn "whatever" because of the hot ladies, or the strikingly handsome guys, or you've got to have that single .esp of Lydia, Aela, Camilla Valerius, ad infinitum ... THINK. Will this mod impact my base mods, and if so, is the only way to fix it to delete a mod, and start a new playthrough? millenkyle
Bumping this because I ran into this problem as well and it's one of the first results that show up in Google. The hands of my main character and one of the followers I set up with the mod "LazyFollowers" randomly turned blue/gray/purple. Reinstalling skin and overlay mods didn't solve the issue. What solved it for me was using "showracemenu" with the console and re-loading the preset I had saved for my character. Hands back to normal. As for my LazyFollower, I re-loaded its data in the SaveLoad part of LazyFollower's MCM settings and it was also back to normal. Hope this helps somebody.
