EddieMagpie
The link above is to fix all your CTD, I've done it and not had a crash since yesterday which was a huge improvement from every 2 - 15 minutes. Many thanks.. I will try it once I work out which of my many mods I really don't need any more to cut down the rebuild time
cormell
Ditto, ditto, ditto. on the problems. I contacted Steam. Their response: Delete everything and reinstall. And use the Skyrim Launcher in steamapps in stead of NMM or other launch point. Thank you very little. The solution described at http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/628590-fixed-15-crashing/ is basically the same. But also suggests removal of NMM. Too much effort for me. I just wanna play the game!!! Is Mass Effect 3 or Diablo 3 out yet? lol
Anya29
Whenever there's an update I usually make a backup copy of the Skyrim folder so I can use either if I need to by renaming the folders (offline). I have backed up the v1.4.27 install but I haven't bothered updating this time, I've got Steam firewall blocked. What I have works and if I need to fix anything I can't fix via the console I'll use the unofficial patch which is posted on the Bethesda forums. Their changelog is significantly longer than the official patches as well, also it's an ESP file so can be turned on a off as needed. Until the next patch, by which time current problems might have been sorted. Edited March 26, 2012 by Anya29

Uninstall Skyrim, delete your Skyrim folder out of "mydocuments/mygames". Uninstall NMM. Restart the PC. Install Skyrim again. Paste the "mod" folder back into your main install. **Read up and see what's not compatible with 1.5**If your game relies on any mods you need to install those only.Start up the game, go into console. "showracemenu" change character back to default, Hair, Scars and war paintings.restart the game with no modswait 24 hours, let the code work its self back out.~console savegame "vanilla"Load up with your mods, I suggest a few at a time. Short version of what I posted earlier in this thread. Edited March 26, 2012 by Ciberious42

evacyn
I had the same CTDs but I was able to avoid a complete reinstall by uninstalling all player house related mods, quest mods and by reinstalling any mod that changed my character's meshes/skeleton (e.g., CBBE, etc.). For me, the main culprits were Dragon Falls Manor (house), The Bigger They Are (quest), And the Realms of Daedra (quest), and reinstalling Dimonized UNP Body (meshes/skeleton). I'm looking forward to reinstalling these mods once the next patch is released :)
memlapse
Out of desperation, I jumped on the 1.5.26 beta and my CTDs and freezes ceased immediately. I don't use house mods since I'm too busy running around killing and questing. I use a camping and basic needs mod, but was still crashing quite a bit. I pulled down the beta and started a new game. After two hours of non stop playing, I've been stable. I think most of the crashes I was experiencing was from Beth's attempt to fix navmesh issues. The beta supposedly fixed their fix. We'll see, but so far so good. I've learned to live without Scriptdragon mods since Alexander simply can't keep up with the constant patching.
