NuttedTooHard Posted December 31, 2017 Share Posted December 31, 2017 So, I'm in the middle of making a companion mod for Pickman.The only missing piece of the puzzle is a conflict with his quest, Pickmans gift.At the end of that quest, papyrus disables him, as in once its over he is erased from the game entirely.I erased the line of code that stops him from being disabled, keeping him in the game where his quest ends, in the basement of pickman's gallery,however he will not talk whatsoever, even if i script him to.I think he AI shuts down, even though i am able to keep him in game. Carreau Posted December 31, 2017 Share Posted December 31, 2017 Sounds like a factioning issue. He needs to be moved into the correct companion factions at the end of his quest. What I would suggest doing is making your recruitment quest move him on stage 10 to the proper factions (limit the changes to his vanilla quest). Check out how Cait is handled during the combat zone quests (they’re all labelled with a CZ_ prefix). If I remember correctly, she’s moved into the proper factions after the player clears the zone of all raiders and before Tommy is talked to.
