Hello everybody!

I've been modding my games since Skyrim and have some experience by now but the one thing i always struggle is choosing the mods i want to include in my list. The choices are just too much!
I'm now starting my list for my first playthrough with Sim Settlement and i'm looking for some advice or suggestions for mods to add to the list.

My PC build is this:
CPU: I5 3570K @ 3.4GHz
Ram: 16 GB
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
I usually play at 1080 resolution and have the game installed on a Seagate Firecuda 2TB Hard disk with 64mb cache and rpm of 7200.
I'm very much into "immersion" mods to make the game less "gamy" and more intens.

So far i'm including these mods for my next playthrough:
- Unofficial Patch
- F4SE
- Full dialog interface
- Sim Settlements (obviously ;-)
- True Storms
- Armor and Weapon keyword Community Resource (AWKCR)
- Armorsmith extended
- Settlement Managing Software
- craftable ammo
- Lowered weapons
- Enhanced Blood Textures
- Old World Radio Boston
- Clean Power Armor HUD
- DEF UI
- Shadow Boost
- HUD Framework
- Immersive HUD
- Power Armor Movement Sounds (PAMS)
- Salvage Beacons (i don't know if they are still needed with the newest SS)
- T-51 Advanced Computer System
- Valdacil's item Sorting
- the Vivid Fallout series for graphic overhaul
- CBBE or Wonder Body
- Campsite
- Better power armor
- See-through Combat Scopes

Also considering:
-Better Settlers
- Beantown Interiors Project
- Immersive Vendors

What i'm looking for from the community is some suggestions on other mods or pointing out some problem mods or mod conflicts that could happen. As this will be my first time with Sim Settlement, i'm not sure if all this will work together.
Thanks in advance for all your help!

Have you read the mod descriptions and posts for each one of them ? You will get the answer if you read what the author says about load order / compatibility and if nothing is in there, read the posts. This action will help you to understand much better what to expect about every single mod that you want to install.

Also, I do not think that somebody can tell you which mod to use or not. That should be your onw decision based on your own play style and how do you want to play your game.

Based on your comments, I think that you are looking for settlement mods and these are what I've used without any conflict at all ( under Player Settlement category in NMM ) :

- Scrap Everything

- Robot Home Defence

- Homemaker ( make sure that you unlock the Institute items when the menu pop up during installation )

- Craftable Vault Elevator ( this is the best - IMHO - to get some elevators that you can use without any problem with the rest of the mods listed here )

- All Settlements Extended

- Advanced Settlement Turret Set

- Settlement Objects Expansion Pack ( SOEP - this is the best mod I've ever used. It will give you a lot of things to add to your settlements that no other mod offers )

- Place Everywhere ( allow you to place any item any where )

- Move that Workbench ( so nobody can access your workbench when you move it inside your house or settlement )

The above mods are in my current game and I've have been using them for a very long time and no conflicts at all. Make sure that you read the mod description/posts but to give you an idea, place Scrap Everything at the very bottom of your load order regardless of what LOOT does. You must place it manually at the very bottom otherwise, your game will CTD.

There are other mods like : Wall Pass through walls but with SOEP, you do not need that at all - IMHO -. SOEP will allow you to use items with light that will not require wiring. Also, I do have :

- Renovated Furniture

- Crafting Workbenches

- Better Generators

If you want to play your game very intense as said, get WOTC ( War of the Commonwealth ), Raiders Overhaul, Super Mutants Redux, Fallout 4 Faster Respawn Rates, South of the Sea ( Glowing Sea Redux ), Stronger Robots and Synths, Jetpack Overhaul ( the best jetpack and you will love it ), Nano Suit ( if you do not want to wear a PA which I do not ), Cross Jetpacks, Mega Explosions, Enhanced Blood Textures, Gore Overhaul and Improved Maps. If you want to be challenged, definitely download WOTC ( new mod is coming that will replace this one but in the meantime, you can use this one which I cannot play my game without it ).

All the mods that I listed above are fully compatible but I created my own Patch to be more safe in the performance department. With WOTC, you may have some CTD's sometimes, but not that often. Disable Vertibirds and you should be fine. Also, make sure that you place your mods in the correct load order by using the Fallout 4 Mod List and Load Order Guide written by BiRaitBec in Nexus. I did not download the mod, I just did read the description and used the guide and it is working like a charm for me.

Happy gaming.

I'm aware of this and i do read every mod page completely before installing it. As i mentioned in my original post, i'm modding my games since Skyrim so i do have some experience doing that.

Also, you're correct in that people can't tell what mod i must use or not, but i'm just looking for suggestions on mods that people use and find interesting for a immersive playthrough.

Back on the Skyrim forum it was more done then here i suppose. There you had several posts about mod list suggestions where people posted what they believed was "essential" for the game. You could find a lot of interesting mods that you would rarely find on your own.

So thanks for the suggestions on several mods, i will check them all out and add the ones i feel are for me!

Happy gaming!

If you are looking for a more realistic combat experience, check out my Better Locational Damage mod. You won't be disappointed. It has much more features than the name implies.
