So what is you goal & point with this topic? (hopefully not sounding harsh)

Seeking information? Or want to start a project? Or wish to contribute to a project?

As the others mention: I too am busy with a project and tasted things similear as mention above.

Sadly working alone seems to work best... Which is a shame... but sometimes, sometimes you can get more people op board.

Hopefully new and old modders can work togethor as a team...

Advice:

Be serious and don't let it just become a pipe dream. And realize whatever project you do and create it takes a lot of time & patience...

ha i never noticed i do that, i looked at some of my older posts and i start with K or O often. Most people dont understand that if the write up is not good the modder wont get much help. I did as i am fair new to forum's and i tend to type as i would talk, which isnt good for gettin people interested, even in reality. Spelling wise im just lazy to check through it lol.

Treating it like a job ad is a good idea, i take more notice of posts like that than i do others.

Just seing what peoples views are on how they would start/request a team/help making a mod. I have my own project and, it would be nice to have help but thats only cuz i can be lazy and the thought of creating more landmass with the landscaping tool is a horrid thought lol. I to prefere working on my own, specially using the CK i dont think that is something a team can work with, unless you split it up so each person does certain things. Rather just work through it on my own, but thats just me. The other point to this is any TES game the CS/CK's are a must and many people new to them dont know how to use them much but have ideas and ask for help and do not get any, or rarley get any

He already stated why he started this thread and what the point of it was on page 1. And even "pointless threads" about a subject that is relevant to the forum and the OP just wants to discuss it are valid and not pointless. How to assemble a mod team is a valid discussion topic for this forum and one I agree needs to be discussed.

More towards what ghogiel stated about a list of open positions and how to assemble a team would be "looking for volunteers in these fields, long term help or single project are equally welcome." to get my attention. I may offer to assist with creating some models and maybe get those models in the game. But I doubt I would ever commit to long term the way people are recruiting. What happens often with single projects that is for a larger mod is the modder can gauge your ability to work with others and if you have the commitment and ability to pull the mod off without committing to the long term. If they like working with you and like the mod concept then they may volunteer to do more. That's how I got a 12 person mod team for an overhaul of another game as well as how the thread was made showing off what was being done.

For the recruitment thread it should not be about recruiting but about the mod. Don't start a thread with nothing done but an idea. Start the thread when you have assets in place already such as locations, a few NPC quest givers, quest related items, placeholders for what you need new meshes for. Include screenshots and descriptions for each screenshot especially of the place holders awaiting new models so any modeler can see how it will be used and what the environment is. Once the WIP thread is done then you add a paragraph stating that you are looking for volunteers to assist.
