Dai Tools Mod Manager: "An error occurred while getting the project List."

If the tapatalk link is giving you a 404, you could grab the download from the DAI modding server instead. Invite link here, then go to the daitools_downloads channel under the daitools section, scroll up in that channel and there should be a download labelled ModManager_x86_1.0.0.59.zip - don't worry if discord says "potential dangerous download", I'm pretty sure that's just a generic message discord displays on most direct downloads (this is the official DAI modding server anyhow, so the download is legit.)

This is really confusing to a total computer illiterate like me. Years ago I was able to use DAO mods no problem , Can someone direct me to a step by step instruction for a total dummy ass like me. I also get the same message.

This is a little old but I went to dive back into DAI and came into the same issue. I found this post and just want to say THANK YOU! I believe you just saved me hours of frustration! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!!

Hey folks! Ugh, I totally get the frustration with those errors while getting the project list. I've had my fair share of headaches dealing with moderators. From what I've seen, this issue could be caused by a few things. First, try running the program as an administrator; sometimes that works like magic. If that doesn't do the trick, check if you have any antivirus or firewall software blocking the connection. Those sneaky things can mess up the whole process. Also, it won't hurt to verify your internet connection. I've used some cloud hr software at work, and I have to say, it streamlined our hr tasks like a breeze.

The way I got to resolve this issue.  After unpacking the file:

  • Look for a file named DAIToolsSuite_Loader.exe.config
  • Open this file in a notepad, notepad++ or similar text app
  • Look for the URL link that is contained in the Value tags
 <value>https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9ouschxp507c895/DAIToolsSuiteProjects.xml?dl=0eProjects.xml</value>
  • Copy and paste that link into a browser to be able to download the file
  • Save the file to the same folder as DAIToolsSuite loader is in

Now you should be able to run the application file, and have the program load as expected.

Not sure why the get url process fails, but downloading directly seems to solve this issue.

Aah. Just realized the actual Mod Manger file needs to be downloaded manually.  This was found in the DAI Tools... Projects file that we would've had to download in the earlier instruction.  The links in the code block should still work. These links are for Windows as this is the platform I'm using.

<Alpha Name="Mod Manager v1.0" Version="1.0.0.59" ReleaseDate="2015-12-09"
Path="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/enkwlozpu83czal/ModManager%20%28x86%29%201.0.0.59.zip"
Path64="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9mhd5ovig3bjoxs/ModManager%20%28x64%29%201.0.0.59.zip">

So far, this is working for me. Fingers crossed no more is needed. I figure it would be to repeat the steps of searching for the links and manually downloading the files to store into the application folder.

Hoped this helped.
