Mktavish
The old wiki is fine in most cases. Ya it's in how you piece the information together though ... and I must confess ... I blindly rely on the old source to much. I need to do a serious read through on dubious's compilation.
xPyroTheFox
Sorry for not replying for awhile been without wifi. I ended up fixing the issue today it was an issues with my HP laptop's clickpad it has a "feature" that stops the pad from detecting touches for a short time after pressing a key. Turned it off and it is okay now. Thanks for the replies. If anyone else happens to need to know how to turn it off (unlikely, it isn't really a laptop most would game on, I use it when I go places) just go to device manager and find the clickpad under the mice option and go to properties. From there just click ELAN, go to additional and turn off TP rejection.
EPDGaffney
Thanks for getting back to us. That'll be really helpful. So, the feature is touchpad/trackpad rejection, or I'm seeing it called palm rejection in some places. Seems to be on loads of laptops, but if I could trouble you for the model of your laptop, I'd appreciate it. Glad you got it all working.
Mktavish
ya those damn mouse pads are an arsehole ... I wish I knew how to implement the rejection software on them. I think I'll just stick with my desk top though :turned:
