Thor.
Hey recenty My grandpa past away recently and he left me a train set that i used to play with a watchful eye from him as i tinker around with it back when i was 8 or 10 years of age, but after doing some research it turned out not to be just any train set, Its a Lionel Train set. The trains themselves could go as far as 1500$ or more depending type of train you have. Its at least 45 years old if not older then that in perfect condition. It even comes with a bag of smoke pellets not even used. http://www.lionel.com/Products/Finder/ Also i a form of Authentication here and model of the train http://www.tandem-as...s_2046_loco.htm the question is would the price go up or down if its still in good condition, working condition.http://www.tandem-associates.com/ss/vol_1/1-lionel_1950.jpgAlso it comes with a caboose, a crane car, and about 6 other pieces of the train set, i can't think of at the moment. but its all there. Old articles and price listings of the train i have. Although its beaten up a bit, but it still works. Some pieces are missing and so is the box itself. http://books.google....istings&f=false The name is actually Lionel, A spelling error on the title Edited March 25, 2012 by Thor. Thor.
I think i will do that later on today. I just need to clean it up a bit, its been in the box for sooo long. Its amazing a few pieces are missing, I was up all night trying to clean the thing. I knew that these train sets where valuable, but i wonder how much per piece. Actually quite excited to find out, even if some of the pieces are missing, the crane car its broken, but its all there, so is the strobe light car, but the light is missing . it has everything  Comes with a complete set of track and Electric motor I figure he hid it from himself thinking its already damaged a little bit, but the engine still works, and so does a 6 our of 8 cars. Also the train ways a metric tun, it has no plastic of any kind, its 100% authentic. Edited March 25, 2012 by Thor.
Syco21
I'm quite jealous, I'd kill for a nice train set.
Fonger
Although its beaten up a bit, but it still works. Some pieces are missing and so is the box itself.price will go up over time but since its missing the box price will be 1/2 that of a pristine set then the price further lowers for the condition of the parts - then lower still for the missing pieces BTW since its clearly a collector's item contact a reliable auction house if you decide to sell Edited March 25, 2012 by Fonger
Thor.
Hmm I might do that one of these days, but not now. It has some sentimental value to it  I might do some further research, i found the light for the strobe light car, just its missing a bulb that could probably get a replacement for. The crane though is another story. It needs some repair. Edited March 25, 2012 by Thor.
