Deleting actors etc. from a mod

I won't name it for fear of offending its creators, but there's a mod I'd like to use that adds new landscapes, architecture, and actors to Tamriel. I do not want to use the actors or architecture, but I do want the landscapes. Is there a simple way to change this mod so that these undesired features don't appear?

You can remove these elements using TES4Edit.

 

However if you already have a save with this mod active you might encounter some problems.
