You could.. encounter Father Anderson maybe? Either in human or dog form, he's never encountered a skinwalker before, so he'll be kind to you. Tell him you need a place to stay, no money etc, and he's semi honor-bound to offer you hospitality. Like the old Arab custom, ask to be their guest, no honorable man can refuse.
