Superrpgman
I always run into a lot of people on twitch (and other places.) who say that they want to use mods, but they get overwhelmed looking at huge lists when they have no idea what actually is good or not. Even with the most endorsed list, this can still be a problem, so I wanna try to be able to suggest stuff to em better. So, can you think of say 3-10 non quest mods, and 3-10 quest mods that everyone should make part of their experience if they're willing, what would they be? Oh, and while I wanna say nothing that's adult only, i guess it's fine, just please don't make most of them adult only. Here's a few that I think would be good canditates to go on on the list, but again, would like multiple opinions. I haven't played the game for like a year so chances are there's a lot have been improved upon since. Improved Map with Visible Roadsor Immersive maps 2K - 4K Fallout 4 - Texture Optimization Project or Optimized Vanilla Textures More Where That Came From - Diamond City Radio Edition or OLD WORLD RADIO - BOSTON Courser X-92 Power Suit CBBE and PipBoy (Pip-Boy) Better Mod Descriptions Fallout 4 Seasons - Grass - Trees - Plants - Snow Extended weapon mods or Wasteland Ordnance - The Definitive Weapon Collection Better Item Sorting or A Realistically Weightless Colored Sorting Mod Companion Infinite Ammo and Unbreakable Power Armour Mod Configuration Menu Where Are You Now - Companion Tracking Companions Can Sneak Functional wedding rings Better The Third Rail ETSGH - Easy To See Glowing Holotapes Easier Hacking with Options - Easy Lockpick - Guaranteed Pickpocket No Bethesda and S.P.E.C.I.A.L Intro Like I said, I see thsse as potentials for what to put in the list. As for quest mods: Fusion City Rising - Quest Mod Plus Outcasts and Remnants - Quest Mod Plus 50 Ways to Die at Dr. Nick's - Quest Mod Fallout Who 1.0 Sparky's Quantum Adventure So please, give suggestions
requested
Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch - I don't know if you'd consider this a mod. But I consider it a must have and I won't let an opportunity slip to advocate its use. There's just no reason not to. Beantown Interiors is always in my loadorder, carefully decorated interiors with some nice stories to discover, and there are even some items to craft and settlement objects to unlock. Great Mod. Tales from the Commonwealth and Atomic Radio. In my opinion everybody should try this out. Great quest mod with a variety of quality voiced characters, entertaining locales and stories. Eli's Armour Compendium adds a nice collection of beautiful and lore friendly outfits. Top quality. A Bundle of Tape - A weapons pack. Great collection of unique, high quality and lore friendly weapons. Companion Infinite Ammo and Unbreakable Power Armour - Quality of life mod, it's no fun to babysit your companions and their gear. Heather Casdin is one of the best companion mods available. Definitely recommended. I think these mods are quality content mods without too much hassle installing or using ingame. They fit well into the world, don't need any prerequisites and don't conflict with each other. There are a ton of great settlement mods, but I can't say which one would be a good start for a beginner. Maybe Workshop Rearranged? Sim Settlements needs to be mentioned, it's an awesome mod that everybody should try out sometime. I always hesitate to recommend graphical mods. I had a hard time figuring that stuff out, and if you never modded a bethesda game this area might be a bad start. You can make your game absolutely beautiful with texture mods and enb and stuff, but I gladly leave that to somebody else :D Honourable mention:The Mercenary - Pack is another high quality, lore friendly armour collection. It needs Armorsmith Extended, which needs AWKCR. So this might be too advanced for this list, even though all three of them are highly recommended. Ondrea
Better Companions-No Conflicts - Combines the effects of Companion Infinite Ammo, No Companion Power Armor Damage, Companions Can Sneak, and No Companion Fall Damage, WITHOUT making any edits to vanilla records and WITHOUT scripts. Icebreaker Settler Dialogue Overhaul - 400+ new lines of settler dialogue. Settlers stop accusing you of being a synth and are generally much nicer. Crafting Highlight Fix - Gets rid of the blurry overlay when you craft, so you can actually see what you are making. Diverse Dogs - Adds variety to the appearance of the dogs. Love adding dogs to my settlements now. Includes cats as well. Keep Commonwealth Radiant Quests Within the Commonwealth - Because I hate being sent to Far Harbor and Nuka World before I'm ready to go there. The Wasteland Codex - Newer mod still receiving updates. You unlock various entries about places and creatures as you travel the Commonwealth. You can have it set to play automatically or listen later. Quest-Related: The Danse Dilemma - Uses cut dialogue so you can challenge Maxon during Blind Betrayal. el2mador
Amazing Follower Tweaks- Every possible companion option you'll ever need, including tons of extra features like changing scales, cleaning up settlements, camping, notes about companion info and affinities, smart management, spouse revival, etc. - You will never need any other companion management mod, or those that improve their AI, give ammo, etc. because all these features are already part of the mod
