I have a different problem that is an easy workaround but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced. SKSE64 runs just fine, except the first time after a system boot. I launch it through the Nexus Mod Manager. The first time after a reboot, it launches Skyrim, which runs, but without SKSE64 and I get the classic startup splash panel. If I were to click "play" from there I would get an error message about SKSE64 not being present. However, if I just click "Quit" and then relaunch it again from the NMM, it works just fine from then on and launches directly into the game main menu until I reboot again. I ruled out NMM not launching the right thing because I can see the CLI window open up and run the SKSE64 launcher, which then launches Skyrim the wrong way. So, like I said, easy workaround, just abort and relaunch after a reboot. I just wondered if this is something unique to me or has anyone else had this happen?

SSE just updated again today, dammit. Here is an awesome link to REVERT back to your older game to get it to work.

https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/9bap6e/seems_sse_has_been_updated_70mb_which_again_will/

I will go ahead and show the correct manifest number for the last update a month or so ago. You dont have to reload SKSE or anything else.

Follow the instructions, change download_depot number to:

download_depot 489830 489833 583541185188584076 (That was the update from about a month ago, if you have already updated to skse64_2_00_08 .)

BTW: be sure to set "Updated content will be acquired only when launching this game" in UPDATES in Steam. Stop the surprise updates. I forgot to do this....DUH, they got me, doesnt take long to revert back, it's just a paiin the butt-thesda.)

This worked for me. Back in the game with all the physics.

Hope this helps.

Silverlock just upgraded to 2.0.9 today.

So I'm not sure about my SKSE. I use Skyrim Special Edition from steam, and I have only gone for the Special Edition SKSE. I also downloaded the latest version of it from Silverlock both times.

I have never used it before however I have tried through a mod manager then manuel and I acquired the same outcome. Whenever I start Skyrim it starts like it should hoever after a very short time(3.44 seconds from when I double click) the program crashes.

I have verified that the program completely crashes because I was watching my sysinternals to see if it stopped completely or was working in the background. When I downloaded it I made sure to install it correctly in both types. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and fixed it, or had an idea as to how I am to fix this problem.

In my case, if SKSE is crashing, it usually means I have installed some errant mod. And usually (the most number of times I've encountered the problem) that mod turns out to be an LE mod. (also: have installed too many mods, improper version - I run under 1.5.80 still - or added too many animations )

I am having the same issue, whenever I try to load up Skyrim Special Edition either through steam, or the skse loader nothing happens mine doesn't even start. I also installed it correctly each time I've attempted to reinstall skse.

I found a way that helped me, Hopefully it helps some of you https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1197413219
