robanybody2000
Alduin self-proclaimed First-Born of Akatosh, and acording to Paarthurnax he was once considered the greatest of Akatosh's creations, but he grew proud and chose to forsake his proper role as World-Eater in favor of conquering Mundus for himself and his fellow dragons. So for the book to be plausible you have to ignore the TES lore AND your conversation with Paarthurnax who actually knows Alduin and trust in a priest who says: "A rumor passed around the Wayrest market square can change so dramatically in the course of a few simple hours, that by the end of the day, one might believe half the city's residents were involved in any number of scandalous activities. How then is an educated, enlightened person possibly supposed to believe a legend that has been passed down, by word of mouth only, for hundreds, or even thousands of years?" Althou he spoked to nord chieftans who were saying that Alduin is NOT Akatosh, base on THAT alone -the rumor thing- (he says about ancient text in wich Alduin's and Auri-El's names both appear in -wich texts?, elven or nord? where are the texts?, do they actualy say that they are the same deity or was it his deduction again?) he deducts that Alduin is in fact Akatosh. sajuukkhar9000
Alduin is an aspect of Akatosh, specifically the part of Akatosh that represents the end of time. http://www.imperial-library.info/content/seven-fights-aldudagga"“You will eat nothing here, aspect Ald,” said the Aka-Tusk, sensing trouble. “Do not forget that it was Heaven itself that shed you from me.”" AlsoAkatosh = LorkhanLorkhan = SithisTalos = LorkhanNo really, they are the same being. Nice site(seen other posts also), only regarding that everyone=everybody=anything makes TES lore pointless. Also beeing "an aspect of" or "regarded as one" dosen't mean "they ARE the same".If this keeps up it will end up that all the world was created by God (wich is everyone)...probably in 6 days...out of nothing (wich is everything)
sajuukkhar9000
http://www.imperial-library.info/ForumArchives/AmuletAmulet.html"MK  Jun 23 2006, 10:19 AMPost #8 QUOTE(Xanathar @ Jun 23 2006, 03:46 AM) Shezzar == Akatosh ? You guessed it. The Arena is a collection of pseudo-imagos, all the way down to the core. Lorkhan is Akatosh, the Dragon God of Time is the Missing God of Change. Tamriel is an impossible place, built on impossible precepts. It's, frankly, a magic ball of sentient schizophrenia. These are why the echoes in every corner of every myth. These are why the ease of men to immortals and immortals into frozen egos. It is pure magic, thought up by the nagging itch called "if", which necessitated a "then", which in turn made everything scared that it would go away forever. It is a baby universe with doom already marked on its head, because it cannot really exist, it has no real mother, and it doesn't understand how to get out, or why it might, or if it should because the rest of the void is a horrible thought filled with nothing. And it is not really populated by classic medieval Facegen people. At least in the eastern portions of Cyrodiil, it's not." This isn't some Akatosh is an aspect or avatar of Lorkhan this is THEY ARE THE SAME THING. Beyond that Akatosh and Lorkhan aren't EVERYONE just a lot of BIG/IMPORTANT people. Also according to Bethesda the entire ES universe is actually the dream of a being called the godhead, who is terribly schizophrenic. robanybody2000
it's that much fun to have questionable lore. leaves something for personal interpretation :)
kradus
In practicality Alduin is as much Akatosh as jesus is god. Paarthurnax said that Alduin was created by Akatosh, so they aren't the same thing in the phisical world.
