SirDanest
So my pipboy map appears modded. It has a grid on the edges, all unexplored locations are marked by a circle, and the undiscovered power armor locations are all marked with a little helmet. I'm tearing out all my mods to find the culprit, to no avail. Not that I ever installed a mod like this in the first place (as far as I know.) This thing is incredibly resilient, and I don't know how to fix it. I even installed new pipboy map mods finally out of desperation, and they did not work -- this completely non-existent map mod somehow apparently overrode them with its own settings.I think at this point I screamed at the screen "but that's impossible!" like Luke finding out about his dad. Edit: Oh, and ignore the blood. My character must have been so frustrated that she coughed up blood on it. Or it was the radiation storm. chucksteel
This can happen by accident if a mod author has a texture replacer or in this case a pip-boy map mod installed when packing their mod. it's going to be an extra texture in one of the mods textures.ba2 most likely. if you find which mod is causing the issue you can remove the texture from the archive with Archive2 that comes with the creation kit. If I were trying to fix this myself I would search the archives for WorldMap, I'm not on my gaming PC so I can't look up the exact file name. Hope that helps a little. Edit you may have also picked up a loose texture which will always win and show so try looking in your textures folder under interface you may find a Worldmap.dds. SirDanest
It's gotta be something like that. But a search in my fallout 4 folders found no "worldmap" or "world_map." In any case, it's not the end of the world, but I'd like to be able to figure out why it's doing this at least. But it doesn't break the game for now. Lol, well you apparently forgot you installed this mod (maybe too hammered to remember or too long ago) in any case I have that map mod and it took me awhile to get it working properly but am happy to say it is working, colors and zoom . The Mod name:Color Map 4K with Magazines and Bubbleheads Ver 2.0-7169-2-0.7z ...Typo; I think was meant to be Bobbleheads* https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7169And I think I found my map in FO4 install dir :fallout4/data/interface/Pipboy_MapPage.swfat least I think thats it, cant view because its a symlink.
