bionett
Hey so i know how to replace music and stuff, have B.A.E and all that, But i was wondering if anyone could help me make sense of all the different combat music files, So lets say i want to replace just the normal standard combat music of fallout 4, Do i still have to replace all combat music files? (because some of them are called combatmusic_boss and combatmusic_final) because i just want to replace the sound for the basic combat music. KnorKater
I guess you have to go down the long road and listen to each sound file to figure out which one is the one you're looking for. :-/ VLC can play them.
OrganicView
Hi! The naming convention for combat music is pretty straightforward, you've got three types: CombatLow, CombatHigh and CombatBoss. Combat Low is the most frequent one, these tracks are triggered for small encounters (i.e. a pack of mole rats, some ghouls, a small amount a raiders, ect...). Combat High is triggered when facing more dangerous, and/or a large amount of ennemies. Combat Boss is triggered against most legendary ennemies, bosses and during some quests. Each combat tracks has a finale which consist of the few last seconds of their respective tracks, and are triggered at the end of combat. You can make yours pretty easily in any audio editing program.
Macrophobic
I guess you have to go down the long road and listen to each sound file to figure out which one is the one you're looking for. :-/ VLC can play them. And the long road is really long, as there are 16 combat tracks (there were 64 'battle' and 8 'alert' tracks in FNV). Hi! The thing is: which tracks are played depends on the player's level, and after reaching a certain level 'standard' combat music won't be played anymore, on higher levels even behemoths don't trigger any music. But there is a mod that can fix this. As for _finale.xwm files, they are redundant and I replaced them with 0.1 sec of silence and I recommend it to other users, but it's only my opinion.
