  1. I'm trying to remove the persistent smoke effect from the Crusader pistol with a pyro mod attached. Replacing the smoke effect texture didn't work. The game just seems to default to the one's in the main archive and ignore my replacements. (Does it generally ignore effect texture replacements? Is that just a limit to modding in F76?) I can't edit the .nif file of the receiver (where the smoke effect is attached to) either, as it corrupts on saving. I've worked out that it's due to BSLightingShaderProperty entries. One entry on the last BSTriShape isn't a problem, but as soon as there are multiple, or any on a TriShape other than the bottom one, the file corrupts on saving with NifSkope. Did anyone figure out how to deal with this problem? I've simply replaced the pyro receiver model with the default one to get rid of the effect, which works. But I'm curious if a more experienced modder knows how to deal with that BSLightingShaderProperty problem, so I might learn from that.
  2. Sorry for the late reply, I'm a bit busy nowadays. Keys are sent now and yes, mod author means that you must have released mods to the Nexus, which does apply to you, xqdcss. :)
  3. Didn't look like anyone was gonna take anymore, so I didn't look for a while. I'm gonna send them right away.
  4. You could turn some of those into .esl files and with that increase the number of mods you can have, tho there are limits to what mods qualify for .esl conversion.
  5. I want to change my username and know this can only be done by deleting my account and creating a new one. But before I do so, I'd like to know what's going to happen to the mods I uploaded. Do they get deleted, too, so I have to reupload them, or can they be transferred to my new account? What about my premium status? I paid for 3 months. Is it possible to transfer that, too? Also considering a lifetime membership in the future, what if I want to change my name again? Or am I stuck with my friendly little ghost now?
  6. You could try "tai" (toggle ai) and "tcai" (toggle combat ai). If they don't trigger the mines then, pick them up. BUT, usually non hostiles don't trigger the mines. Sounds like they are already hostile, and therefore triggering them.
  7. Where's your Creation Kit installed? Try to install it into the F4 directory if it's not there.
  8. I guess you have to go down the long road and listen to each sound file to figure out which one is the one you're looking for. :-/ VLC can play them.
  9. I use NMM, so I can't help you with the Mod Organizer. But there shouldn't be any problems. Just install the game normally, and they should be able to locate it automatically. Same goes for LOOT. I have NMM and LOOT installed on one SSD, Fallout 4 on another one. Works just fine. Yes. Either just add a shortcut to skse_loader.exe on your desktop (you can even change its Icon to be that of Skyrim), or add it as a non-Steam game on Steam, if you want to start it from there. Adding as a non-Steam game (skse_loader.exe instead of f4se_loader.exe): Yes. You need to add a folder on your SSD as a Steam library folder. Open Steam, click on Steam in the top left corner, go to "Settings->Downloads" and click on "Steam Library Folders". Here's a screenshot if that helps: Instead of uninstalling a game, just move it from your "[Your SSD partition]:\Steam\steamapps\common\"-folder to your HDD, and move it back if you want to play it again. Only if it's made of cheese.
  10. A harddrive can be split into individual partitions (C:\, D:\, E:\, etc), for example if you only have one HDD, but want to separate your windows files from everything else you save on your computer. Think of it as virtual harddrives. The primary partition on an individual harddrive is the partition your computer can boot from (look for an operating system) when starting. The active partition when having multiple physical harddrives is the partition from which your computer actually will try to boot from, first. A basic drive handles partitions on a single harddrive. Drives set to dynamic can handle partitions that span over multiple physical harddrives, for example if you combine them to a RAID (most servers do this, as it's possible to recover much more data from RAIDS than from a single harddrives if one dies). Dynamic drives save the info about the location of their split partitions in an extra database. if you don't configure another drive to work with it, and specifically create a partition that spans both, pretty much nothing will happen, as the partition on that drive is still only present on that drive. That's pretty much all there is to it. You don't need to worry. Are you still having issues with your drives, other than that?
  11. I can assure you that Ethreon is quite active and helping others (for example modding newbies like me). But do mod authors automatically have the right to sell their mods? Or would it raise some legal questions with Bethesda? Since it's their game, and, in many cases, their copyrighted assets that are being modified. I don't know if there's a single mod that would be able to directly be sold without acting out an agreement with Bethesda, first. For me, personally, this site would be dead with payed modding, simply because I couldn't afford any of it. That's the very reason I avoid Bethesda's own implementation when looking for mods. I'm very glad the Nexus exists, and not the whole world succumbs to micropayments, which ultimately is what most payed mods would be. Therefore I think the way of giving something back to authors TheDark0ne came up with is a nice middle ground, in addition to donations. As for the design: For me, it still looks very similar to the old one. The basic layout didn't change much. This is not a "Windows XP to Windows 10"-change, this is a "Windows 2000 to Windows XP"-change in my eyes. Maybe TheDark0ne should create a very sh*tty Win10 equivalent and see how people suddenly start to defend the current new design. :v
  12. Just found this in Blender. Would this, by any chance, be usable to add collision that the game recognizes?
  13. Keys sent. And thank you, I fixed the link. :)
  14. The game somehow runs smoother for some people (including) me, when running in borderless window mode. You could try that, if you haven't already. Tho you probably won't get 60fps. Like Crosstiger said, that's the poorly optimized engine for you.
  15. It's for placement in settlements, and since it's an awfully big ship you should be able to see it from far away. I placed it for testing without LOD data, and it looked really weird to have such a huge object pop into view just a hundred meters in front of you. Besides, I copied the settings from the original file, so I thought they'd be fine. Didn't notice that the settings have to change along with the number of triangles.
  16. Figured out what was causing this. Apparently setting the LOD2 value too high causes this glitch. If I set it low enough, everything looks fine.
  17. Can you provide us some screenshot or that message? Are you new to the CK? Did you remember to activate the plugin you saved to?
