I Don't Have To Take This From You

'I don't have to take this from you!'

Every NPC seems to say this to me as I walk by, all I am doing is walking. I mean sure, I'm a sneak thief / assassin augmented with Magic but come on, I've never had bounty or been caught (thanks to Quick Save / Load). Even the merchants whom I would think treat potential customers with some degree of respect claim I'm giving them sh*t so to speak.

Anyone else having these problems?

Something similar happened to me, I was fighting bandits and since I was a vampire I revived one of them to fight the others, they saw it and I kill them, after that every npc in game only said to me "get away from me" I was like ? -.- I killed the bandits who saw me using that spell and yet everyone in the world knew.My solution was starting all over.

i think its a script thing, checking your stats (robbery, picklocking, pickpoketing, murdering etc) when they are particularry high (like my picklocking over 500 Lock picked) they will render you as a shady or thevy, or murderous charachter, then after this some new Phrase appear on NPC

This is happening in my case, too. All part of Bethesda's idiotic "psychic greetings" system. Due to dialogue conditions for certain auto-greetings, Bethesda NPC's "know" whether you are good at sneaking/magic/fighting etc, just by looking at you. Worse still, they comment on it tirelessly.

I am testing a race overhaul that, among other things, makes the Ancestor's Wrath an auto-ability. It is "always on" but hidden when your weapon is away. When you have health below 50%, and your weapon is out, it turns on. Doesn't matter to NPC's however. Nope, since its always on - even when you cannot see it due to its being hidden by conditions - they forever tell you to get that dangerous magic away from them.

Utterly f***ing idiotic. And to make it worse, this is the third game to feature the same system, which no one in the known universe actually likes or enjoys listening to.
