Offtherails
Help! My TESV_Papyrus_Flags.flg file has disappeared at some point along the way. Steam's Verify Cache function hasn't re-downloaded it... any ideas what I can do short of a complete reinstall?
jet4571
Just discovered mine is missing as well and a cache verify this morning doesn't fix it. So probably a complete CK reinstall is the key.
piotrmil
That didn't work, reinstalled the CK, verified caches of both games and CK and that damn file is still missing. What could have happened to it? How come the program can work one day, and stop working the next one ?! Edit: I've managed to fix that, and find the cause of it. For some absolutely insane reason, all the psc scripts evaporated from my /scripts/sources folder... I have no idea why. What's weirder, these files apparently are not counted when doing the steam cache verification... Way to screw people, Bethesda. I fortunately had another PC where I installed another copy of Skyrim and manually copied files to avoid the whole hassle with reinstalling. Hopefully this will help someone. Tydeth
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39140/? That zip file includes the flag file, which you can place next to the papyrus compiler files and it'll make the CK happy (at least about the flags, anyway). I found my CK being stupid about the flags, reinstall didn't help, decided to try his zip, its copy of the file worked.

ArronDominion
Go to your base Data folder and look for a Scripts.rar. That compressed file contains all the source scripts.
Aragorn58
As Arron Dominion said, Look in your Skyrim Data folder and there should be a Scripts.rar file. Extract the scripts folder from the .rar and drop them in your Skyrim\Data folder. There are over 10,000 source scripts in there so depending on your PC it could take a few minutes to complete. agerweb
I lost this file with the CK update as well - I used the flags file from a computer I haven't updated, now the flag error doesn't come up just a pile of nonsensical errors when compiling anything. I put the flags file in the source folder does it need to go in a different location now? I wonder if i can use the CK files from the old computer to downgrade the CK on the new one? doodad2
If you had the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) installed and you follow the instructions described by Arron Dominion and Aragorn58 above then you'll also reinstall the SKSE source scripts as well. Make sure to do that after you have extracted the Scripts.rar file.

After following what Arron Dominion and Aragorn58 had mentioned I then used the zip from the link and copied the files to the appropriate folder which caused CK to compile base skyrim files properly.
