lordbevan1
ok, so, my mod involves a custom-edited vanilla gun mesh I made in Blender. I've managed to get the mesh to show up in NifSkope, but if I try to put the texture on, it applies only to the part of the mesh I've selected, and not the weapon as a whole. can someone please help? M48A5
Vanilla textures are stored in a Textures.bsa and are not displayed in NifSkope by default. You would also have to check the texture path for the part of the weapon where the textures are not displayed and if necessary, change the path. lordbevan1
I've managed to get Nifskope to properly use the textures (which I had already extracted using FOMM), but the model still won't load in GECK.
EPDGaffney
Any help for you in this thread? https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/797398-nifskope-will-not-display-textures/
lordbevan1
no, since the textures DO show up in NifSkope
EPDGaffney
Oh...well, can you be more specific about where they don't show up? What do they look like? Can you screenshot your stuff? I'm not sure where your problem is occurring, but in the versions of Blender that we normally use to mod this game, what textures are actually on your model can be confusing, because what you see on your model when you work on it is whatever 'preview' texture you've applied in the UV map Window, not what will be exported. This is a good video on making sure the basics are correct in texturing in Blender 2.49b: If your problem isn't that, then I need some more information. Edit: I missed your post right before mine as we posted at basically the same time. Are you using the BSFadeNodeRoot? What kind of model are you trying to get into the game? lordbevan1
Also, I don't have Blender 2.49. I have Blender 2.79. That could be part of the problem. Edited January 14, 2018 by lordbevan1
M48A5
Having your tools and the game installed in "Program FIles" always leads to problems. Using Blender 2.79 is a problem when modding Fallout: New Vegas. From the last I read, there is a problem exporting to Fallout games with that version.
