Fistismack
Specs-GTX 1060 6GBFX8350 @ 4.4Ghz16GB RAM650W PSUStill on windows 7 Hi all, I've been stumped by this problem for months and I can't seem to figure out what is going wrong. I'm playing on a LOOT organized skyrim se with about 25 mods. There are no CTD's or game breaking errors but my FPS experiences a sudden drop every single time I play. I startup my game with about 50fps average and everything is fine. I'll begin walking to a new area then about 1-2 minutes in the fps suddenly drops to 20-25 fps when a new cell loads. I have tried disabling my enb (re-engaged) and it hasn't worked. I have lowered all settings from ultra to low and it still remains around 25 fps. I have swapped cards from my GTX 1060 6GB to my r9 280x with no improvement. I've monitored my cpu and gpu stress and both are being utilized fully. I thought my fps was being limited with v-sync but I've tried every combination from turning it off, to forcing it in the NVIDIA control panel. All drivers are up to date. Has anybody come across this problem? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Tinaaa
Try to disable godrays and lower the shadows, i have the same issue while walk in skyrim and while moving fast mouse i have unstable stuttering. Try delete skyrim ini and skyrimprefs and start the launcher again maybe with this new file the game it will go better, copy this file in skyrimprefs iVSyncPresentInterval=0 and watch this file bUseTAA bIndEnable bSAOCSEnable bToggleSparklesbSAOEnablebScreenSpaceReflectionEnabledbiBLFEnable The 0 means that they are deactivated, remember to save the numbers somewhere if you want to change them. If you have activated open city try delete this mod because in my case open city in some cities made me lose frame rate, unfortunately this problem is quite known, I have 250 mods enabled and the game in some places has unstable frame rates especially when I turn the mouse quickly. Keep me updated.Enb and reshade they could slow down the game Edited January 19, 2018 by Tinaaa
JohnnynRoger
Whats your mod list? If you're adding a lot of actors and meshes to exterior cells with "Fade" setting on max (which the launcher will do by default with a GTX 1060), then I guess it's possible that you would experience a significant fluctuation in FPS when entering or exiting interior cells. Edit: Some city cells are notorious for this. Try this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10547 It might help, but since you have < 30 mods, I doubt that this is the cause.
