Lord of the Rings Return of the Witch King

OOC: Mirkwood isn't a fort its a forrest and there isn't a back entance because this stronghold is built into the side of a gaint tree.

 

Narif walked around the stronghold examining every part of it. A Few elves prepared a bastille while a couple of gondorian soldiers set up there pikes on the wall and started to help with the gate. Narif got back to his post and sat down waiting for the attack his bow to the left of him.

Scarlet only spoke on very rare occasions, and this was one of them, her voice was cold and brutal "I serve the witch king. I am his enforcer. I shall not keep out of this, i was ordered to come." And then she went silent. she would not speak again.

 

"You are the blade of the witchking" he said, though many would have deemed the act impossible, his voice became even harsher, then he pointed to a group of Uruks "But those are my warriors, their lives matter to me, your's don't! You whelp" he turned and walked off

Mariner awoke from falling asleep that night. He noticed that his blow was gleaming from the polish. He nodded as he put his bow back on the table in the tent. Mariner fell asleep in his armor like he normally does just in-case of midnight attackers. He walked outside to see that the Orc bodies were still there, as fly's and other maggots started to eat away at the rotting corpses. There were a couple of Orc's eating away at what seemed to be freshly killed animal. He didn't know what it was and he didn't want to find out. "Hey you Orc's! Why hasn't the bodies been cleaned up yet?" Mariner asked. "The boss want sum' thing to do with em'." The Orc replied. Mariner shook his head and went back into his tent again. He grabbed his scimitar that was also laying next to the bed and looked at the edges. Even though it was in perfect condition he always tested the sharpness of the blade, he grabbed a piece of meat and threw it up in the air, he skillfully slashed the mean piece in half. Mariner grabbed the meat pieces and put them back on the table. He walked outside and stood next to the bonfire and waited for something to happen.

Scarlet marched through the camp, no traces of elegance or refinement, she was a soldier, a murderer and a psychopath. She stopped in front of Mariner, drawing a blade and pointing it at him. She said harshly and swiftly. "You're plan is flawed. Change it."

He let go the arrow flying through the air on fire above the forrest like a flare before striking one of the orcs through the chest. He then directed the rest of the archers and arrows began to rain down on the camp blocking out the moon.

 

Their was much gnawing and gnashing and many orcs ploughed towards them. Uruks followed, generally using the orcs as meat sheilds from the arrows. The few trolls also ploughed towards them, and Zuurtz ran at them, shield covering his front from arrows "GIVE 'EM ONE!" he screamed, and arrows flew from a mixture of cross bow Uruks and bow orcs (generally Uruks used cross bows, with the exception of Lurtz)

Many of the archers had ducked behind the wall and there was a total of one dead and four wounded. The archers once agained volleyed the camp with arrows. They wistled through the air and through the trees.

many orcs were hit and died, but their comrades climbed over, it was getting close to the uruk hai though. Zuurtz had some orcs put some ladders up on the wall, a total of three, some uruk hai were on the ladders as they were put against the wall (check out helms deep, they are actually stupid enough to 'ride' the ladders as they are put up) Zuurtz was on the second rung from the top, and after some other Uruks got onto the wall, climbed up himself, throwing an elf down into the orcs, who pilled upon him. Zuurtz drew his sword, and most of the elves changed to their swords (presumably they are smart enough to do this)

Mariner was going to reply to what Scarlet asked, but he heard the sounds of battle coming outside. "What the hell...?" Mariner said quietly as he walked out to see the Orc's and Uruk-hai already charging, the Rhûn soldiers looked dumbfounded as they looked around for him or the Captain. "Get your gear ready!" Mariner screamed from his tent as he quickly grabbed his bow and scimitar and walked toward the edge of the camp. The Captain was no-where to be seen so he was going to take control of the attack force. "Uruk-hai crossbows! Use the trees as cover and move up between the arrow volleys! Orcs! Do the same and try not to get hit! Rhûn Archers! Stand back as far as you can, use your arrows and pick off the leaders! Rhûn Pikeman, follow the Uruk-hai using the same tactic!" Mariner ordered.

The elves kicked down two of the ladders and looked to the orcs now on the wall. Narif drew put away his bow and drew two swords and charged at the Uruks. He sliced hi way through two before he reached Zuurtz.
