  1. Everyone, you can put your guns away now... I finally posted. Sorry about the huge delay.

Abigail walked into the room with the incredibly loud tapping of her heels against the wooden floor. Abigail always hated this room, as it was reminded her of the monster that works here. Taking a note of the room, Abigail began to look around. The only light was available from a small desk lamp that was set neatly on the corner, lightly illuminating the dark room with an eerie glow. On the desk was papers of certain documentation; medical reports, cybernetic blueprints, and other things. The only sound that came from the small room was the light scratching sound of a pencil writing vigorously. The man sitting at the desk looked deep in thought as only his pencil seemed to go faster with each passing second, with his lightly glowing eyes catching the woman's attention. Abigail walked up to the end of the desk, setting down the small bundle of books she was ordered to bring to the man. Of course, this only made a chill send down her spine as she looked upon the mans face, and almost immeditly turned away. She didn't want to look at the monster of the government. "Will that be all, Dr. Bertrand?" Abigail asked, her voice slightly cracking at her nervousness. "No, thank you Mrs.Evans," Adrian replied with his usual gruff and heavy French accent, also never looking up from his writing. Abigail didn't hesitate from his answer. Quickly turning around she walked out of the room and shutting the door behind her, not saying a word again to him. Adrian stopped his writing and looked up to see the door shut again as Abigail left. He couldn't blame her, really. She-like many others-know about his work. They probably think of him as a monster. A villain who works with no mercy. Again, he couldn't blame them. The stories of what he's done is no secret to him, but he doesn't deny them. Hell, most of the stories are true, though not accurate, which Adrian was thankful for. People probably wouldn't even come close to him if they were on the spot detail. Adrian set down the pencil from his death grip with a light sigh. He knew that in only about an hour he would have to do what everyone was so afraid of. People didn't like him because he did his work with no emotion, mercy, and would do it in a seconds heart beat. No one understands, and he thought that they would never will. Breaking away from his thoughts, Adrian looked down at the paper. He smirked slightly, reading over what was written. This was nothing new to him, it was just something that he has to do each time he visits a patient. He can't do the same thing every time. That would be ineffective to the next patient, and he couldn't have that. The sudden beep from his desk phone jolted him from his reading. Reaching over and pressing a glowing button, the speaker turned on. Adrian was a person who received little to no calls. So, when someone calls, it's usually important. Though, mainly the calls are to fill him in with the new "patients" that he would have. This wasn't the case, however. "Dr.Bertrand. How's the old man doing?" The cherish young man's voice filled the room. Adrian chuckled irritability, knowing already who it was. "What do you want, Chase," He asked quickly, not wanting to continue. "Oh nothing, ju-" He started, but Adrian quickly hung up the phone before he could continue. Adrian didn't have time for these little childish games that Chase always played on him.
  3. The Unofficial tally so far is: Government: 4 Recalcitrancy: 5
  4. Mine isn't done, either. This is more of a placement as I'm really, really tired and I'll likely finish it tomorrow morning. Name: Adrian Bertrand Age: 45 Race( Caucasian, African, Asian, Hispanic, etc.) French Caucasian Occupation: Government Neurologist/Experimental Inventor Alignment: (are they a morally good person, bad person, have no standing etc) Neutral Evil. Appearance: He has close-cropped silver-grey hair with "steely green" eyes which appear to be prosthetic (Cybernetic Implants). Adrian has a slight beard and stands about 5'9" while only having a simple build at 152 pounds. Armour and/or clothing: Off duty: Adrian is dressed in an impeccable futuristic-style suit. On Duty: Simple white button up shirt and black slacks with a lab coat. Weapons: Glock 19 handgun (Government Issue; used rarely but mainly for self defense) Skills:As most Government employees, Adrian was trained to use simple firearms (Handguns, rifles ect.). Adrian's intellect helps him in quick time decisions. This also helps his manipulation skills, as he is often called for "interrogating" Rebels. Background: Adrian was born in the Middle-Upper class family in Hope. His family, including his Uncle: Duliar Bertrand were deeply graded to work with the Government; His mother a tactician while his father was a engineer. Though, neither of these interested Adrian. He was more interested about the "memory loss" issue that the city seems to have. Duliar took notice to Adrian's growing fascination with people, how they work and wanting to study them. Already the plan began to form in his mind, to use Adrian for his own gains. Duliar was a Neurologist and was the one to start Adrian's life of obsession and marking his sanity for the rest of his life. Duliar wasn't normal, but who was? Though Duliar... was something else. He could be often found researching something for hours on end, seemingly just because he wanted too. However, no-one would ever know his ever so secret obsession of Cybernetics. Duliar believed that Human's weren't meant to become weak from disease, thirst or hunger. These "weaknesses" disgusted Duliar, and he wanted to fix them by, literally, replacing the human body with complete cybernetics. There was one problem, though. Duliar was diagnosed with brain cancer, and was surely going to die soon. This is when Adrian came in; Duliar told everything that he knew to Adrian, but also in an odd way. He told Adrian it was "God's Will" that Humans transform themselves because of the super bug. The super bug in his vision was God's way of saying they're weak. Adrian took Duliar's words to heart, which only seemed to fuel his believe in his evolution of mankind obsession that has developed over the years. Now much older, Adrian continues his research, and experiments on anyone he could afford too, even himself.
  5. As many of you may already have known, the game developer company Undead Labs has been making a new Open-World survival zombie game. This game was known as Class 3... Well, not any more! Class 3 will now be officially known as State of Decay. With a new fancy trailer that was released.
  6. Unreal can be used for anything... Well, mostly everything. like Paranormal is a Horror indie game, that used the Unreal game engine. It's a pretty awesome game, but it has obvious limitations because of the Unreal Engine, but it was well on it's way for being great. However, it is still in beta. So who knows what the creator can come out with.
  7. If you value the Fable series... I would stay FAR, FAR away from the third. It's the worst out of the three so far. Also agreeing with Jim here, dumping down for consoles is completely idiotic.
  8. Jumping slightly at the such random sound of an explosion, he saw that Vlad had ran out of the store, so Zane followed Vlad out of the Super-Duper Mart, to reveal the scene where Morgan had, with quite bad irony, slammed himself into a lamppost. This made Zane laugh slightly, though he felt bad, he couldn't help but slightly laugh. However, he walked over to where Morgan was laying and held out his hand, to help him up. "I'm sorry that I laughed, but it was so ironic that you walked into a lamp post..." He said, but trailed off. still trying to hold back his laughter. Still, it wasn't something to be made fun of. He did lose his eye, so his perspective on things are much more different than what everyone else can see. After the thought, his laughs were immeditly cut off, and met with a blank, but serious expression. "Does anyone know how the explosion happened?" Zane asked
  9. I completely forgot about the Armory. *Facepalm* Just... forget I said anything on the subject. For the Legion story, it can stay... but we'd just have to edit it a little bit. Instead of having about a whole Army come to Capitol Wasteland, your Legionnaires are like a scouting party? Like of about 60 people? It's not a whole lot, and they don't have crazy army numbers so it doesn't DE-rail the whole plot.
  10. I just read over my last post. I sound totally retarded *Herp derp* I was really tired when I wrote it, so it kinda didn't make sense in what I was trying to say. XD I was trying to say that you can have a Personal Vendetta, and not totally get rid of it. I wanted it to be something that we can do if an event occurred, and everyone got all "COME AT ME BRO!" Syndrome. :D So, it doesn't sound like It's one person leading a group that was following him to pay his personal vendetta. With the event, it would be that everyone has a beef with Malcolm of some sort. (I'm not sure about the event, It could be anything really). What I wanted was like, it wasn't just a Leader and his/her followers. It was the whole group acting as their own. Everyone had an opinion and it wasn't just; "You follow me, I'm your leader and you'll get the whip otherwise!", I don't want it to be like that. Regarding the OP characters, this will be dropped by me. I don't want to continue the argument further, and if any concerns of mine come up will not be discussed here. I will PM you Mike, or Tokyo.
  11. I wasn't saying to disagreeing with you, or anyone else for that matter. I was saying, however, that it seems we've turned into "The Lone Wanderer Team B" Really. (As one is a leader, and the rest follow). And yes, that is true about "Quests and Stuff", but it shouldn't be our main goal about things. It should be, like an off hand thing. A thing that we might come across in our travels, but it shouldn't be something on our main focus. Our main goal? Is to survive, scavenge what we can in the world. Survive it's hardships and have a good time with friends. Wasn't that the whole point of it starting?
  12. You... you guys just TOTALLY missed my point. I'm not targeting you guys Individually, I was talking about the GROUP. Either it be the Legion fighting side, or Vlad's revenge quest to kill Malcolm. The group still resides in the "Chosen Ones" or "Vigilantes". This whole RP was supposed to be adventures in the Wasteland, not about quests and stuff.
  13. Okay, as the friction is still here. I'd like to bring a pointer from my friend from a different forum. I will try and explain as best as I can, and hopefully, we can come up with a compromise. Point Number 17: Don't run away with an RP, this is a common sense one but it still happens. Usually a pair of people get into a groove with each other and just keep posting back to back which leaves the other Players running to catch up and sacrificing their story ideas because you and your buddy wanted to play with each other, this is selfish and unprofessional. This; is what pretty much happened to the RP. It became completely out of control, and took the RP away from what was actually attended to be. Also adding, the lore from the Fallout Universe, this plot line, would make no sense whatsoever. Still, it wasn't really Flipout's fault. As because, we kinda... let it happen. Well, we weren't expecting this sort of thing. As because, this sort of thing should have been suggested in the OOC first before it was implemented into the RP. Also, I think we should all reflect back onto Tokyo's rules from the very first page. These are the main ones that have the biggest problem in the RP right now. As number one insists, no; lone wanderers, couriers, vault dwellers, or chosen ones here. From what I've seen, it seems the group has fallen into the "Chosen Ones" category. Since, it seems that it will take our whole group to bring down the Legion. Which of course, makes no sense in the first place. This RP was really meant to be adventures in the Wasteland, not go on an Epic quest to become 'Heroes' against the Legion. Now, we come to number two in this. I won't say who, but there ARE some characters that are just plain ridiculous. Or, OP as in this case. If you know who you are, please consider removing a few things to make them less OP in sorts. Make them have weaknesses and strengths. Here we go. The most broken rule of them all. This rule, has been ignored to the most highest of consent. Of course, I'm talking about number four. In this case, it was multiple people posting multiple things, and with that, leaving some people behind. Like the rule states: BE PATIENT. As in, if you post, wait for everyone else to get a post in before you post again. Some people don't have time to come and post, and some people really don't want to go and read though 10 pages and keep trying to keep up. We don't want to make this a second job, so please don't make it harder on people. If we followed this rule in the first place, we wouldn't have this sort of issue anymore. Last but not least, and another big rule. Have fun! And don't ruin others peoples fun. If people want to go beat up some Legion baddies, let them! You don't have to group up with them at all, you can go do whatever you feel like is fun. To end my post, I will end with another point from my friend. 14: s*** happens, no one can see into the future and no one can stop all the bad stuff from happening and it does no good worrying over it all the time, sometimes you can't help it so it does no good being a worrywart. Deal with it as best you can and ask for help if you need it. Stay strong and don't let it get you down. I hope this brings some understanding to the group, and we shall decided what we're going to do.
  14. I agree, really. I pretty much stopped posting because of how ridiculous of the events that were happening. All the events, made no sense, whatsoever. I think we just need to start over (Not with a new thread... just start over,) and do things a little bit more better. Also, there are two another concerns of mine. One was the really, short and quick responses that sent the RP down a spiral, that left multiple people panicking because if you even left for about 20 minutes, there could be almost two more pages filled with short, but still irritating to read responses. This was another reason why I left, because when someone posted something, and it's short and undetailed, it makes it much more harder to work with. I try to write AT LEAST a paragraph, so whoever posts after me, has something to work with and use. Another thing, it delays my post's much more, and when my post's get delayed, people slip in another short response. Which, ends up me editing my post to include your post also. See how much work it causes? It can be very stressful at times. The other concern, was when people find random stuff that are really, just stupid. Like, when a Raider was carrying a perfectly fine M16. Of course, it can happen, but it's so unlikely that it was kinda stupid. I'm not judging your RP skills and whatnot, but try to think if that would be realistic in Fallout terms. /endrant
  15. Gabriel continued to sit in his room, staring out the window until the nice sunset came into view. However, Gabriel had other plans. After the sun finally set below the Mountains, he needed to go explore the halls once more, and hopefully catch anything suspicious. He thought that they're wouldn't be any Death Eater spies in Hogwarts, but it hasn't stopped them before. Once down the tower, Gabriel held the tiny rock in his palm, and said a few phrases. His eye color turned bright yellow, and his surroundings were easily seen. Now, it was time to stalk the halls... He started with the dorms; first the boys, then the girls. After no successes, he continued around the school, hopeful that he wouldn't see anything. It was almost to the point of time where Gabriel thought he was wasting his time, and could go back to bed. Though, something caught his attention to the corner of his eye. Turning quickly, he could definitely tell it was a person, and began to follow closely. It was still to dark to tell who it was, but it was obviously a woman.
  16. Gabriel nodded at Elizabeth's words, "What she says is true. Battles with Dark Wizards can last very long, and can be very tiresome. Also, don't expect simple spells like me and Elizabeth were using, expect spells like Avada Kedavra, Conjunctivitis, Incendio and many others. Elizabeth will show you the ropes, I sadly have to go do... somethings," Gabriel said, with the last word said with an annoyed tone. Once again, he nodded at Elizabeth before he made his way out of the room, and continued to walk through the twists and turns of the halls of Hogwarts. He knew where he was going, but he wanted to delay it at all costs. It was something he really, really didn't want to do. Now arriving at Minerva's office once more, he took in a deep breath, and stepped inside. Inside the dark room, stood Minerva, and other few older Wizards from the Ministry of Magic. Gabriel knew all about what this meeting was going to be about, and it was something that even he, had his skin crawl. Approaching the circle, he sat down at the table and awaited silently, until Minerva first spoke. "Everyone knows why they are here, and what to expect from this meeting," She started, taking a tiny sip of water from a wine glass. "This is about the murders that have happened recently, and about the Death Eater rumor, that has spread like wildfire across the students," She paused again, sighing to herself. " The rumors, are true," She murmured, and suddenly an uproar from the other Wizards started to argue. Minerva quickly silenced them though, "The reason to believe that this is true, was because of the sightings from recent reports about them. They have come back, and we need to warn the rest of the Ministry," She spoke once again, in a serious tone. Gabriel nodded, he still didn't believe it, but if Minerva said that they were back, they were. "So, do you have any ev-" One of the Wizards said, before he was cut off by Minerva. She pulled out multiple files of sorts, all with photos and detailed reports about the sightings. The Wizards talked amongst themselves for a moment, before turning back to Minerva once more. "What do you want us to do, Headmistress Minerva," One of them spoke. Minerva sighed, knowing full well what to do. "Gabriel, I need you to stay up, and patrol the halls at night for suspicious beings or people. We can't trust anyone anymore, if the Death Eaters have returned," Gabriel simply nodded, and left the room. He returned to his bell tower room and began searching through his belongings until he found it, the Charm that allows him to see at night, without the use of the Lumos spell. Sighing once more, as he stuffed the small rock into his pocket for safe keeping for now. He sat on his bed, and waited. As he didn't have anything else to do at this point in the day.
  17. As the whirlwind came ever so closer, he only had enough time for one spell, "Expelliarmus!" He managed to get out, sending the spell towards Elizabeth's wand. Throwing it away from her and as the spell hit Gabriel, his own wand was thrown away from him. However, he was thrown out of the dueling strip. He lost, sadly. After recovering from the forceful wind, he groaned quietly to himself, brushing off anything that might have gotten onto his shirt and pants. Gabriel raised his hands up in defeat, obviously losing miserably. "It seems you can still kick my ass Elizabeth," He said, smiling at her.
  18. Gabriel quickly acting at the speeding Stupefy, and saying "Impedimenta!", the spell slowed down, and flew right past Gabriel, hitting the wall. He once again readied himself, as he started another spell in his wand, he said; "Sectumsempra!", with a quick slash against the shield, slashing Elizabeth's cheek. Of course, it was a curse, but it was the only thing he had against the shield.
  19. Gabriel nodded, as he got into a stance similar to Elizabeth's, but not as loose. It still needed work, as he knew she was much more experienced than he was. Still, it was a friendly duel... he hoped. Gabriel knew he was going to make the first move, and so he did. "Stupefy!" he said, flicking his wand, sending the spell towards Elizabeth. ( I know it's short, but it's a battle. XD)
  20. Gabriel nodded towards Elizabeth, and waited for the room to fill up. It was quite astonishing, really. The whole room was literally filed, barley enough room for the whole class to stand comfortably. He somewhat expect this though, as because this was the first time the school had a Dueling club since in 15 years. He stood quietly as Elizabeth talked and explained what they were going to do. When she finally gestured him to step onto the dueling strip, he sighed slightly, as he knew this will not be fun. Gabriel walked over to the opposite side of the dueling strip, with wand in hand. "Now, know this. The duel is all really real. So, if you don't want to get hit from spells, I would subject you move back a few steps," Gabriel said seriously, and the students stepped back a few feet. "Ready?" He asked Elizabeth, as he readied himself for the duel.
  21. Gabriel laughed slightly at her answer to his sarcasm. He continued to look around as Elizabeth continued to talk. Gabriel had never been to fond of dueling really, it was just something that he never grew onto in school. To bad that he didn't. Still, he figured it was for the best. Dueling usually got people hurt, and him being hurt in school was probably not the best thing. Gabriel turned as Elizabeth asked him to be in a demonstration for the students once they arrived. He's already been hit with one of the unforgivable curses, why not duel either. With a slight funny huff, and a smile, he nodded, "Why not," He simply answered.
  22. Gabriel awoke quite early before the sun had arose. This was his normal wake up time, mostly due to the fact that he never could sleep in past 5:00, because he woke at this time to work the animals on his farm or get a head start on field work before the hot sun rose. Gabriel creaked his eyes open slightly, to the sight of the light pink and black mixture of colors in the sky, from his window. Smiling slightly, he slowly lifted his upper body to rest on his elbows, watching the slight show of the sun rise above the huge green mountains that covered Hogwarts. Gabriel sighed, and threw the blankets that gave him great warm and comfort, aside. Sliding his legs lazily off the bed, he rubbed the tiredness, and blurriness out of his eyes. Gabriel then clasped his hands together, interacting his fingers. Leaning forward, and lightly resting his forehead on his clasped hands. "Pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem. Pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem. Pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem sempiternam." Gabriel chanted silently to himself. He did this every morning, to respect of all who died during his restful sleep. After finally getting dressed and ready, Gabriel headed down from his room and to the room where Elizabeth was meant to have her 'Dueling Club'. Along the way, he wondered why Elizabeth was suddenly so open to teaching this sort of thing. From what he remembered, she hated people. Generally, which made Gabriel grin slightly. However, with the task at hand, he walked through the still, eerie, empty, and still halls of Hogwarts. Upon finally reaching Elizabeth's class, he took a deep breath and opened the door. Taking a step inside, he noticed that she already had the room prepped for dueling, and multiple posters on the wall to represent different fighting styles with wands. "Nice room you got here," Gabriel complimented, with a slight sarcastic tone.
  23. Gabriel ate silently, not expecting Elizabeth to also get up and walk to the podium. He sat silently as she said that she was new Dark Arts teacher, and will be a new dueling club... wait, what? Dueling club? Gabriel shook his head, only Elizabeth would want that in that in Hogwarts. Still, it might get more experience to the students so they actually HAVE experience in this sort of thing. After eating his meal silently, he decided to go to bed for now. However, before he could, he got stopped by Minerva on his way out. "You have a private room now, but it's on the top floor. The room below the bell tower. Don't worry, the bell tower doesn't ring anymore," She said, with a slight smile. Gabriel nodded and headed off to his own room. He didn't know why it was such an odd place to actually place a room, but he didn't mind. He'd at least get a view from the neighboring mountains and the lake. After arriving at his room, Gabriel decided to look around. To see, what he had in store of his new room. It was plain, nothing special of course. As he figured he'd style it himself. Being fully capable obviously. He did like the regular tone it set, and so, he kept it the way it was built. The window however, was a little bit too small, and with slight adjustments, the window was perfectly big. Plus, the sun set's in the window. Which made Gabriel smile and lay on his bed. Thinking about tomorrows events. Well, there aren't any events. Still, he could go see Elizabeth's new 'Dueling Club', to see how it goes.
  24. Gabriel nodded slightly. He didn't know what to think of the murders. If it did have ties with the Death Eaters, he wouldn't have the slightest idea of where to look. Still, it probably should just be left alone, for now. He and Elizabeth continued walking towards the end the hall, since they weren't students, they would have to sit with the teachers. Gabriel didn't mind, since it would have probably been awkward sitting with kids almost 20 years younger then you. Finally reaching the stage, there was two spots for Gabriel, and Elizabeth. But, they were separated. One on each side of the stage. Gabriel just shrugged and sat in the empty seat to the right side, and immeditly noticed the food that appeared before him. Without wasting another moment, he dug in hungrily. After about 30 minutes of the bustling mess hall, the whole hall was now filled with children of all ages, and classes. Minerva McGonagall got up from her seat, and slowly walked to the podium that was shimmering gold, with floating candles beside it. Gabriel set his food down, already knowing what she was about to say. Tapping her wand slightly on the podium, even though quiet, got all of the attention from the children. "Now, students, as you may have heard..." She started, pausing a moment, "About this Death Eater rumor... about how they have returned, with a new 'Dark Lord' on the rise," She added, and with this, the kids started with an uproar; mostly with questions. about the rumor itself, and other gibberish. Minerva McGonagall once again tapped on the podium to get there attention. "But, I do - if you've already noticed, two new attendances here today," She said, gesturing to Gabriel, and Elizabeth. "They both, have ties to the Ministry of Magic. They both, have answers to your questions," Minerva finished, and stepped off the podium, and waved Gabriel over to go stand. Gabriel sighed, but got up nonetheless. He didn't want to answer questions for something that is still wildly unknown. Though, he did possess more information then the teachers did, and so, he might as well share that information. Standing at the podium now, he was immeditly bombarded with questions. Shaking his head, and raising his hand to quiet them down. "As Minerva has said, me, and Elizabeth-" Gabriel gestured to Elizabeth, "-Have ties to the Ministry of Magic. What I have seen, and heard from everyone... that these murders, are fakes. To scare the Ministry, to think that Death Eaters have returned. To this day, we have no hard evidence that the Death Eaters have returned." Gabriel said assuredly. He nodded to the students, and went back to his seat. With that, everyone returned to eating.
  25. I don't think I can get a post in today, so presume that Zane is going to follow Vlad for now. If I can, I'll post something tonight.
