evilone89
So I got a brand new desktop to replace my gaming laptop and started modding skyrim again from scratch. Only have about 90 plugins which I thought were fairly straightforward mods but my game is already a lot less stable than my previous install on my old laptop.( had 255 plugins going as well as additional mods that didn't have plugins on it.) Also almost all of the mods I currently have installed were installed on my old computer but now they are all up to date. I would greatly appreciate some assistance or advice given my current modlist/ load order. I made sure to follow each mod's instructions in order to avoid conflicts and made use of Loot but i still seem to CTD very often. I CTD most when roaming outside and when going near larger cities. I don't CTD as often when in interiors but still often CTD when loading into them. Currently my game is almost unplayable. I suspect it may be something to do with Flowerfields, Climates of Tamriel, Enchanced Lights and FX, and SMIM Static Mesh Improvement Mod but really not sure because I thought I installed them in the correct order. Presets-2-3.esp is Inhabitants of Skyrim Character Presets which may conflict with Better Females? I am also able to run FNIS with no issues or errors. Kroekr
For starters, you can install the Unofficial HighResTexturePack patch to remove some bugs that come with the DLC. Do you have ENBoost and Crash Fixes installed? They will help a lot. I am guessing you remembered to re-install SKSE when you started. Other than CTD's, are you having other issues? Grospolina
Did you make the changes to Skyrim.ini recommended by Flower Fields? They're here: [Grass] iGrassCellRadius=2 bAllowCreateGrass=1 bAllowLoadGrass=0 bGrassPointLighting=1 iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=10 iMinGrassSize=50 Note that "iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure" has a spelling mistake in it that you have to keep. You can adjust iMinGrassSize to your liking (lower means more flowers but less performance and vice versa).

Other than CTD's, are you having other issues? Thanks for the suggestions I do have the latest SKSE installed. I went ahead and installed Unofficial High Res Texture Pack and Crash Fixes along with the SKSE Plugin Preloader it required. Got no error which let me know Crash Fixes was installed correctly. I noticed after installing and doing a little testing, that i was able to enter a cave right outside Riverwood that 100% give me an infinite load screen when entering. I downloaded ENBoost but did not install that yet. Can it still help my stability if I do not use an ENB currently? And yes another issue i have mentioned above is infinite load screens. Initial loading into my game had a high chance of going forever so I had to install Load Game CTD Fix from nexus in order to get around this. Had this issue before the current CTD issue and the mod seems to have helped a lot. I would still get some 100% chance infinite load screens when entering certain interiors both modded and vanilla. I also followed Grospolina's advice and adjusted the Skyrim.ini for Flower Fields which i seem to have neglected to do initially. I am going to run around to test a little more and try to enter other interiors that would always CTD or infinite load screen me before Crash Fixes and update you guys again. I went ahead and changed it to what you posted and followed most of Kroekr's advice as well. Thanks again! I will update you guys.
Kroekr
You do not have to use the ENB portion of ENBoost and yes, it will increase stability.
evilone89
ok so i installed the latest enboost by copying enblocal.ini into the skyrim folder, i also got the latest enbseries from its website. when installing enbseries i copied all non text documents in the downloaded folder. I actually replaced the enblocal.ini from enbseries with the one from ENBoost and left the settings as default. The directions for the latest enbseries on the ENBdev site said to change in Skyrimprefs.ini: bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 in order for the mod to work. Start SkyrimLauncher.exe to configure your video options again. after changing to 1 and saving the text document, I launched the skyrim launcher a huge amount of instances of enbhost.exe started launching themselves hogging a lot of cpu. signed out and back in to windows to get them to stop running/multiplying. i discovered that it is a known issue and the mod has issues with other game overlays like Razer Synapse Stat tracker and it was recommended i turn Stat tracking off. I also changed according to the enbdev site directions.bTreesRecieveShadows=1bDrawLandShadows=1 bShadowsOnGrass=1 This value i could not find in the SkyrimPrefs.ini and i did not add it either. is it necessary???????? After saving the text document once more I went to boot up via SKSE. I was hit with an error telling me that ExpandSystemMemoryx64=true in enblocal.ini and because of this i was likely to get more CTD. The game still booted even with that error. Upon trying to boot my main save however, i got a CTD. I went into the enbolocal.ini and changed that ExpandSystemMemoryx64=true to false. I tried to load my main save again through SKSE and it worked without receiving the error before startin and the ENB information was displayed on the top left of the Skyrim Menu. This concerns me because this value was under MEMORY and seems like it should be turned on like default.???? I ran around skyrim a while and entered some more interiors know to give me CTD or infinite load screens and it seems a lot more stable all around. 2 issues ive noticed is that prior to getting ENBoost going, I CTD'd in Whiterun and got an error from Crash Fixes telling me the CTD was due to memory allocation or lack of memory? Only got the error once and it was before installing ENboost and ENBseries. ive been to whiterun since then but it still lead me to believe the ExpandSystemMemoryx64=true/false should of been kept true. I have also noticed that sometimes 1 or 2 followers of mine would go invisible even though they were still standing in front of me. Ive read this can be an HDT related issue but may be due to the MEMORY setting?? not too sure. I am so sorry for this huge wall but i just wanted to get the details right. I really appreciate all the suggestions they seems to have already improved my stability. I will continue to test. I

Kroekr
The part about about the x64 memory confuses me also but oh well. I get random invisible followers also which I think is memory also. Just save, camp to main menu and reload to fix.
