sykoholic001
Has anyone made a sailor hat? Y'know... one of these things... ...or one of these...
madmongo
The closest thing I know of is the Sailor Captain's Hat. It's definitely not the same style hat but it's at least a nautical theme. You can find it here:https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56826/
sykoholic001
Apparently there is a Coast Guard hat in FO4 but I don't have a copy of that game and even if I did, I have no idea how to port the mesh over to FONV. sykoholic001
Hmmm.... Miss Nanny Hat Now I just have to figure out how to convert it to FNV.
devinpatterson
Hmmm.... Miss Nanny Hat Now I just have to figure out how to convert it to FNV. I'll check with him/her and see if he/she will grant permission to port it over. If so, then I can muck around with it. If not, I can give you some general advice on a DIY project.
sykoholic001
Cool. I'd greatly appreciate it. Me and Blender do NOT get along.
devinpatterson
While Ceano was OK with a port, it is unfortunately an edited FO4 asset.....so I can't port it and release it  However if I have time I'll try and do a little research on conversion from FO4 to FONV
sykoholic001
That's what I figured it was. I've tried opening it in Blender then exporting it as an .obj then opening that in Nifskope and exporting it as a .nif but it won't let me apply a texture to it. *shrug*  o_O :wallbash:
devinpatterson
That's what I figured it was. I've tried opening it in Blender then exporting it UV map is missing? If you can open it in blender, then I'd try saving it as a blend file and opening it in a previous version of blender that supports FONV/FO3's nifscript (ie 2.49b) so you can export it as a working nif. Or did I misunderstand your post?
devinpatterson
Might want to try this link; Fallout 4 to Blender Tutorial, I just skimmed it, but it looks like it uses bodyslide, outfit studio with a bit of tweaking in nifskop to import into 2.49b. Fair warning, it looks a bit convoluted and it is older (2016) so there may be better, more streamlined processes out there. Have you hit up the mod authors forum or nexus's 3D modeling forum?
