elpuma77 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Share Posted April 1, 2012 Well, it seems now that for some reason even when I use TCL in the console command, I still crash, maybe its starting to glitch over the game, but I also noticed that midas magic is CAUSING the crashing in my loading screen, because when I turn it off I actually appear in my load save, I'm going to try to create a new game. EDIT: I couldn't start a new game, and when I loaded my "prisoner" autosave where I finished making my character, the game crashes during the load, but not in helgen keep. for what reason? After creating this thread, reading onto almost everything that has been into here, I think the reason why all of this happened to me is about unistalling mods. I use NMM but without BOSS so there is where the problem started. ANyways, without using BOSS my new game started perfectly. I went on and on finished main quest lernt almost all shouts, etc, etc... but what I always did was try new mods in my ongoing savegame. I tried many mods, some I liked and some I didn't but all the installing and unistalling I personally think that was my issue, and also forgetting about manully installed mods. Now I am going to try to avoid this. I am going to make a selection of mods I will play untill I get bored but without installing more and not without prior testing. Anyways, why couldn't you start a new game? CTD? Maybe I am dumb saying this, but when I play skyrim I close every program that is running on the background (Sometimes my game crashes when updates start working...) Does the clean save not work and an autosave does? Maybe if you post your mods list we can figure out something. Have you done like me installing and uninstalling without real testing (I mean, my testing was if it worked for 5 mins going in and out of cells without crashing... that was an OK for me hehe!)? DOn't know what more to think... ANy texture pack that that may both have textures for the same "thing"? How many HD packages? Any mod that may have missing files (I think you can do that with WryeBash)?... I am sorry I can't think of more... Any other thing you can telme? Keep it up!!!xD!!! Do you use WryBash? If you do are there any esps in red color? Wrye Bash also detects when two MODS reuquire the same load order position... Also I see your game is constantly crashing, why dont you try and disable ALL mods and see if skyrim works. Maybe I can give a clean save with no mods on the door just to go out of skyrim after Helgen. I will post today my mods prefernce list. This same thing happened to me with oblivion and to fix the issue the only thing that worked for was starting from 0 again, and that is why I am redonig everything. POst everything that you think may be useful, and maybe someone that comes in and sees may be able to figure out something. Keep it up!! Deleted3487703User Posted April 2, 2012 Share Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) Turns out "Sounds of Skyrim: The Wild" was the source of all my misery, causing CTD's when I tried to enter dungeons, buildings, and player homes (even when not outdoors, such as when zoning from Jorrjaskr main hall to Jorrvaskr living quarters). Uninstalled and everything's smooth as silk. So, good job all who called out that one. Hi again! Sorry for dissappearing yesterday, it was a busy day. Anyways, I have good news!!! I have been playing skyrim for a couple of hours now and I haven's had a CTD. I have used clean saves, old saves, autosaves, and saves that "require data that is no longer available" and they all work smoothly. At the moment I don't have any mods active, not even a texture package and everything is going fine. Why dont you reinstall skyrim and check if your saves work with the normal game. If they dont you definately know (at least from my point of view) that your savegames are the issue. If the saves work start installing mods 2 or 3 at a time and test. Another thing I found was a mod called "skyrim background booster" or "FPS Background Booster". Check out the mod description to see if you may be interested in it. Anyways, my recommendation is that reinstall skyrim, test, install 2/3 mods at a time, test again. Dont install or use heavy FPS mods at least to start with. Always do this on a clean savegame, and for myself I would start a new game with a set of pre-chosen mods and install no more for a loong time, always weary or errors that may occur with normal game updates.
