I am having the exact same problem. Whenever I try to launch Skyrim through either the SKSE launcher or by hitting "Play" in the standard launcher, nothing happens. TESV.exe appears in my list of processes for about two seconds, vanishes, and nothing happens. No error messages, nothing; just a failure to launch. I've tried validating my files through Steam, which didn't work. I tried deleting TESV.exe and the launcher and reinstalling them through the validation tool, which failed. I restarted my PC; no luck. The game was working absolutely swimmingly up until I started my computer yesterday morning- that's when the problem started. I'm currently running virus scans looking for issues and so far nothing has appeared.

My game is patched to the most recent version, 1.5.26.0. I've got Skyrim running with the latest versions of SKSE and Scriptdragon; as for mods, I'm only using the High Res Texture Pack DLC, a small Craftable Arrows mod, and a stutter remover called "d3d9.dll" that limits the frame rate. I've been using these mods for a while; this failure to launch seems completely random. My PC specs are leaps and bounds above what is recommended to run the game.

I solved my own problem. It seems that the latest version of Scriptdragon only works up to patch 1.5.24.0, so it wasn't letting the game run for some reason. By deleting dinput8.dll, the game runs fine, albeit without Scriptdragon or any mods that rely on it. I forgot to mention that I'm also running a mod called iHUD, which requires the latest Scriptdragon.
