Breton Thief Oriana
Kataiyo returned with his emblam after a hard fought fight. He now supported the Third Degree symbol. However, He almost didn't survive. Lyari has been a trainee for much longer then him and it showed as they sparred. However, He had gotten a number of fighters for the impending battle. Kiriashi was pleased at his skill, and so told all of his students that to fight with Kataiyo and his new friends was an honor, and a duty. THe bravest of them joined immediatly, while the most timmid pledged their alligiance in as little combat as possible but enough to bring honor. Kiriashi told Kataiyo, however, that they had to remain neutral until the time had come for an uprising. Kataiyo reported this all to Quarian as they re-met the three weeks later. Kataiyo had said to him also, "If we can get someone with a knowledge of explosives, we will be able to quickly cripple entire fortresses. I have heared tales of people from the east that use 'Flying Fire'. I am sure they fit this description."
ObsidianKnight
Armiena reaches the Five Horse Tavern without any incident, but finds that her friends haven't arrived yet. She orders a small goblet of wine and sits in a dark corner, trying to keep her face hidden in shadow, just in case Imperial troops come in. She watches the door, waiting for someone to arrive. MDRud216
okay, your posts kinda messed up my plan, would you mind editing them just a bit. I would not ussually do this but I have had this planned since the begining Inside the Imperial Fortress the banquet tables were set up, the ladies of the castle were preparing everything. This feast was to celebrate the Emperors power, although most people thought him foolish to do so. A soldier ran quickly into the great hall, his sword drawn. Following him came four men, carrying a corpse. Instantly the hall was thrown into confusion, many saw that the corpse was brilliantly dressed, in a robe of purple, inlaid with gold and silver. It was the emperor. He was dead. The Old Mill The very top of the tower balanser was visible from there campsite,a flaming becon was set at it's top. Around it the impenatrable darkness veiled all else, giving the effect that the flame was floating, high in the air. They all watched it, while eating their dinner. a few rabbits that had been killed a night before. They had succeaded in recruiting a few dozen people, but were almost arrested. It was their feet that had saved them. The distant flame of the Balenser flickered, and moved to the side, before dropping out of site beyond the hills. A sound reached their ears. the crash of stone. The tower had collapsed. Orange light flickered in the valley. Something was happening...
Peregrine
<ooc: Please tell me the whole thing with the Emperor was just a minor opening quest.... If not, I think you've just set a new record for worst DM cheat ever...> Standing outside the camp on sentry duty, Alenee watches every bit of the tower's fall. Her eyes linger on the horizon for a bit more, watching for any sign of continued events. She then walks quietly back into the camp and over to three of her soldiers that had arrived in the past week. She whispers something to them, then one walks off to join the rest of the soldiers standing around the fire. Alenee and the other two get on their horses, and ride off into the night, without a word of explanation.
ensis
"What is happening? We're not attacking the Tower, so who is?" Akechi thought aloud. "Does anyone know anything of this?"
MDRud216
ooc: the storyline is still being set up, you will learn that we were not the only ones who wanted him dead Quarian gestured to the men and ran off towards the ridge, to see what was going on. As he emerged he witnessed a huge ball of flame erupt over the cities palaside wall, setting it ablaze. The fields were burning and thousands of figures moved amongst the flames. It was a march on the city. "everyone! Arm yourselves," he said as he saw the city gates burst open, a group of unorganized calvery charging forth under the orange light of the fires. Thousands of tiny spots of light shot in arcs across the sky, the howling of battle filled the air. giant boulders shot through the sky, and before they hit there marks inside the city wall a new one was being loaded into the giant catapalts. A surprise attack was devastating the city.
ObsidianKnight
Oh poo... I never should have come here....Armiena watches in horror as she sees a boulder devastate a square tower. It collapses, sending debris flying through the streets. She quickly gets up from her corner, takes a few loaves of bread from the bar. She leaves a few coins without counting, just in case the bartender hasn't already evacuated. As Armiena leaves, a gust of wind blows a volley of arrows inside the city. A few of them land roughly on the Five Horse's roof, and set the wooden shingles ablaze. OOC: Erm... what do I do now? Can't exactly escape during a siege... MDRud216
A half dozen of the hired warriors lined up on the ridge with Quarian looking down on the darkness. near the torches the ranks of attacking soldiers were visible. They marched towards the burning city, unstoppable. why was the Empire not putting up a fight Quarian thought, seeing only a small, and unorganized force being slaughtered by the attackers. One word entered Quarians mind: Armiena He remembered when she had left, but now what would happen. He went through a short-lived stage of panic and then made his decision."We have to get to the city! Armiena is there," Quarian ran back through the wodded area to their camp and informed the others of his plan. "are you coming?"
ensis
Akechi went over to where he hid his items before they went to town, and quickly pulled them out. He put them on, and drew his cloak up over himself. Hopefully these attackers would take kindly to the Old Imperial insignia and take him for an ally. "Who all is going to help Armenia?" Akechi asked, "I would gladly help, and we might as well decrease the number of enemies we have to deal with while we're at it. Let's be off quickly! The Five Horses looks to be quite close to the area on fire. I hope we're not too late."
Peregrine
From a hill overlooking the new army's approach, Alenee and her soldiers study the new attackers. It is far too late to divert the attack, and they lack the numbers to stand and defend the city. She can do no more to help them... but there are more cities in the Empire. Cities she is sworn to defend, regardless of the fate of the Emperor who accepted that oath. She says a quiet prayer for the inhabitants of the city below, then turns to the soldiers next to her. "Gather our forces, and give them news of events here. You take the west, you take the east. I'll take the north. Go quickly, there's still a chance for the other cities." The three riders disappear in their chosen directions. The closest reinforcements are a day's ride away... a day they don't have....
