kevkiev
More specifically, do they have a different base id? I don't think so, but I've seen Youtube videos where they seem to have unique dialogue and it makes me wonder Or is that from simply being a resident of Vault 88 and/or being assigned to the DLC's various unique "workstations"? Or maybe it was just one of the original 3 V88 settlers who was talking. Too impatient to wait for responses to the beacon (after the initial 3 settlers) and would like to do my usual spawn-via-console "player.placeatme 20593". But I'd hesitate to do that if, like Far Harbor settlers, they have unique dialogue. (I console-spawn those settlers too, but with a different base id than the commonwealth ones.) I haven't been able to find anything on the internet saying they're any different from regular Commonwealth settlers though.
jkruse05
I believe only the first few settlers are unique in any way, the ones that show up for the quests. If you want to be safe spawn them in a different settlement first, then send them to the Vault. I know you can send regular settlers there, so if there is any difference it is apparently applied on arrival.
Roentgens
I think jkruse05 is correct. There is a special workshopnpc template, but it's only used by the 3 settlers that show up during the quests.
kevkiev
Thanks for the replies - you're correct. I spawned the rest of my settlers via the usual Commonwealth console command method (inside the vault) and they work fine, and even have some unique dialogue. First settler I spawned struck up a vault-based convo with the original female settler and there have been other instances too.
