Deleted3486474User
i used FO3 archive utility and Nifscope to make a duplicated daedric 2H into a one hander so that it is identical to the 1H daedric sword but looks like the 2H. Only problem is i cant work out how to get the glow and the blood edges in to this one from the old one. Any1 know how?
ghosu
1. Open NifSkope twice, open 2h Daedric sword and your modified nif.2. Your file: Delete both EdgeBlood and the Glow container, the whole block (CTRL+DEL)3. Copy (CTRL+C) each single EdgeBlood and Glow container in the 2h NIF, in your nif click on 0 BSFADENODE and paste (CTRL+V) (4). IF the new copied blocks don't fit into the entry structure (not attached to the main node 0 BSFADENODE), click on 0 BSFADENODE and in the bottom options window scroll down to children and open the sub structure...if all slots are full add 3 new slots to the children value and click the 2 round arrows to apply the edit, click on the BSFADENODE once more, once again open the children sub structure and add the values to the left of your 3 copied blocks (like the 0 next no BSFADENODE) to the new empty lines to get them into the node. ghosu
Well i had a similar problem so i just modified the glow block...deleted all texture paths, in the BS Lighningshaderproperties options i lowered the transparency, increased the Emissive Saturation, changed the color so i got a working glow as well - like my WIP 2h hammer, see MY MOD COLLECTION in my signature. Deleted3486474User
Your a genius, thankyou, i was thinking bout what you said and decided to do your method from scratch instead of trying to do your method to fix the current one and it works! Deleted3486474User
ok now the problem is that i cant scale it down without it going all out of alignment, each time i scale it all scales fine if i scale all at once but still ends up the same size in game so im assuming that im not sposed to scale scabbard? any way to scale all at once except for that part? ghosu
To scale all: 1. Click on 0 BSFadeNode.2. In the bottom window (block details) change SCALE.3. Important: Rightclick on BSFadeNode, TRANSFORM=>APPLY. If you want to scale single ones you have to do it one by one...so normally it is easier to scale all and just change the one left over, easier to bring in position. Of course you have to take care that you don't move your item out of place...the hand/handle position is a static position. I normally load the original item into my 3D Editor, add my new item and align all objects in the Editor...so i can edit parts as well if the handle is too short or whatever (in NifSkope you can only scale the whole thing, xyz coordinates)...after that i export it and import it to NifSkope.
