LadyHonor
Adopted does the same thing. You can find it here: https://rd.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/
ebonmort
Questions from a nimrod: What is Daupdater.exe? And how do I access the .ini file? By any chance, is there a mod that will upload thru Nexus Mod Manager?
balmz
daupdater is the offical way to install dazip files
ebonmort
"Adopted" apparently won't work for me. I have the Dragon Age Game from GOG.com, and they don't seem to have included daupdater.exe.
Thandal
They must have included it. It's how the DLC gets installed. Just search the game's "\bin_ship" folder for the program "daupdater.exe."
ebonmort
I'm absolutely sure. There's no "bin_ship" folder. No way to properly load *.DAZIP files. "Adopted" is one of those, as is "Metaframe Items", which claims also to be able to create Human Noble Mage. Neither one runs.
LadyHonor
Try installing dazips with this. I've used it for years with no problems. https://rd.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/
Thandal
@ebonmort; It is absolutely impossible to have a legitimate install of DAO without having daupdater.exe included. Just can't be done. GOG, Steam, Origin, retail disc, doesn't matter. The daupdater program is part of all of them. It will be in the same folder where the basic game executable, "daorigins.exe", is located. And you couldn't play the game at all if you didn't have daorigins.exe. @LadyHonor; I prefer DAMM. Only manager that can handle .override mods.
