Loque
Hi.I wanted to make an Icon based on a template I found.http://mitglied.lycos.de/shiguji/preview.gifI wanted to make an Icon for PSDs for Oblivion. So you should recognise that it's for Photoshop and that's about Oblivion. So I made these ones:http://mitglied.lycos.de/shiguji/preview.jpgBut I'm not pleased. In the first one you see the PS Logo, in the second you see two Oblivion screenshots and it looks like comparing the two pics. In the third picture you see the Oblivion Screenshot , but not the PS Logo.I made a 4th one:http://mitglied.lycos.de/shiguji/ps1preview.gifI used the official Bethesda Wallpaper with the Oblivion Gate ('cause my computer doesn't work properly and I can't make screenshots at the moment) and I don't like it, too.My Question is: Does anybody got an idea how it could look better? LHammonds
You are very limited in what you can do and still make it recognizable when they are small images (thus the term icon). You will have to use something from Oblivion that is iconic to the game such as the Oblivion rune or a legion helmet or something along those lines. The object needs to be fairly "close" to make it recognizable even when it is in 32x32 mode. A screenshot of an oblivion landscape will look like any other landscape at low resolutions. Does that make sense? You'll need to find something iconic and utilize that. Try replacing that glass cup thingy with an iconic Oblivion thingy. Maybe use NifSkope to view NIF objects with a white background to get a good angle of stuff. ;) LHammonds
