yota71
The only thing that prevent me to playing morrowind its the map/quest system there were no map marker for every quest of morrowind, yes maybe the quest marker is not immersive but i pretty loose myself without the quest marker, and if you say me that there are a mod that create quest marker i will immediatly play at morrowind (if i remember correclty no quest marker for morrowind)

You really had to think about what you were doing and ask around to find info about almost every (big) quest. It was a pain and it took me forever to finish the game. But that's what was so awesome about it, no hand holding.
yota71
on me in a very long term can be annoying :)
DeanCarter
I wish I had known about the Elder Scrolls back then. I think that playing Morrowind would be awesome, but I'm not sure I can stoop down to those graphics now... :(
drose25
Actually Morrowind's graphics were not bad, even compared to today's standards. Yes, Oblivion and Skyrim way outshine them, but they're not unplayable-bad by any stretch if you're interested in experiencing a predecessor game. thompsonar
Plenty of graphic overhauls for Morrowind as well that get up to somewhat modern standards. You can make it look as good or slightly better than Oblivion, if I recall correctly. This thread has me really considering installing it again. I haven't played it in years and would love to check out some new mods for it. I wonder if it will seem as good as I remember.......
drose25
The only thing I didn't like about Morrowind was being a damn "outlander" all the time. Well, that and those annoying cliff racers. :D

thompsonar
@yota71 Not sure if there are any map/marker mods for it. Like I said I haven't played Morrowind in a long long time. No telling what's out now. You could always do a quick search in the TES Nexus site to see what you come up with.

But that's what was so awesome about it, no hand holding. And that is why they dont create games like that anymore. They want money back for their game, so they create a game wich is the more "casual-friendly" as possible, but trying to keep a part of the TES spirit. And we have Oblivion, and we have Skyrim... Hopefully, we also have great mods :D
