How do you import from MO2 Portable

If I knew your trick I would have tried it.

Downloading using mod manager link brings up MO2 and not Vortex (How does one set up Vortex to Handle those?)

Manually installing an SE mod in Vortex did nothing to help it recognise my MO2 install for Importing mods.

Found it, thanks.

Didn't change anything. Vortex still doesn't recognise my MO2/Skyrim SE install for import.

As I said before, it DOES see my Skyrim LE (MO) properly.

Oh well. No big deal. I don't need Vortex right now anyways.

Hmm. I'll have to try to port mine, then, and see if I can spot anything.

EDIT: Hmm...yeah, doesn't show me as having anything to import, even after downloading something for SSE...

EDIT 2: Looks like I had to download and install something for my list to show; I'm currently importing SEE. Will edit/post again when finished to relay the success/failure results.

Same for me as HardwareSc8 confirmed. I first needed to download and install a mod for FO4, before the import would recognize my portable MO2 install. It is importing now.

Ok so this is what I did :

1. Go to MO2 Portable Folder

2. Edit the ModOrganizer.ini file to include this changes

""gameName=Skyrim Special Edition"" >> Change to this "gameName=SkyrimSE"

Please make Sure MO2 is closed and do not open MO2 again until you change this back

3. Make Sure SKyrimSE is Setup in Vortex as Hardlink inside a folder in your Skyrim installation I just made a folder called mods in my skyrim folder and pointed there.

4. Install a MOD from nexus mods in vortex making sure vortex handles downloads

5. Import from MO2 folder now all will import

6. Now change your ModOrganizer.ini back to the original settings . (So that MO2 can still work)

Goodluck
