ZedLXI
I think we need less of this. A bit awkward looking for walking around. And more of this. Much better. Not the character. Just the position of the hammer. I feel like I should have bean able to get a better pic for this but it's too late in the night for me to look harder. Anyway you get the gist. All two-handed hammers, swords and axes, would look significantly more bad assed resting, one handed, on the shoulder of your hero. Or anyone else for that matter. Eegxeta
Well taking into consideration the fact that when your weapon is drawn your character takes a position to be ready for battle, I think you are completely right lets charge up to a bandit group draw our weapons and rest them on our shoulders. It would be awkward for walking around because it isn't a walking cane, Edited April 2, 2012 by Eegxeta

It would be awkward for walking around because it isn't a walking cane, Perhaps the mod could address the unequipped 2h weapon animation. Instead of putting your giant hammer into an invisible holder on your back, you could rest it on your shoulder, or use it as a walking stick. That way, its realistic for casually walking around through town, but when its time you actually swing the thing, you switch to the vanilla posture. It would be awkward for walking around because it isn't a walking cane,I see what you're saying but I think it may work a little better than you think. Let me see if I can now find an image to better illustrate my imagining *Goes in search of*... The internet fails me once again.Well, let me describe it to you if I may. You could have quite a nice combat stance with hammer on right shoulder, right hand on hammer's shaft, right foot a quarter step behind the left, left hand up, partially outstretched in a guard position. It might conceivably be a little too marshal artsy for Skyrim though. So you’re probably kinda right. The vanilla animation does look pretty wonky though. Especially when sneaking. Some more artful alternatives would be really good. Perhaps the mod could address the unequipped 2h weapon animation. Probably better than my original intention. How good would it be to have some of those random bandits you encounter on the road swagger up to you, great sword rested on their shoulder and full of bravado? Having them demand you give them your cash or pay a higher price. It’d make cutting them down to size just that bit more satisfying. I approve howl heartedly. uk33
Some one did it. Woohoo! http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=16351# That mod only works for greatswords, if you want to do it with axes & hammers you have to copy and rename the animations manually. I had that mod for a while but I ended up deleting most of the animations just to get rid of looking like a gorilla when crouching, in the end there was only the idle left so I got rid of it completely.
