grandpauj1
Hi all, I am trying to figure out if there is a way to separate a one piece armor in to two or more pieces. At this particular time, the ones of interest are Hentai Void, Elite Rogue and the modded version of Nordic Carved armor (don't recall the name off hand) so I can say use the top of the Void armor with something else or the bottom of the Rogue armor with say Carved armor top. I did try doing a search, but kinda had trouble trying to word it. I did find an article that said to open the file up in Nefskope, delete the piece you don't want and save the rest as a new file. And yes it was about that vague. I downloaded Nifskope, and thought I would give it a try but........ I think he left out the part about.. well a whole bunch of the process. I am totally new to the Nifskope tool so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance (o:
grandpauj1
Does 32 views and no reply's mean it can't be done? Or if it can, just point me in the direction of a Nifskope for dummies tutorial. Thanks
willette8
Mixing and matching armors is definitely possible, it just depends on the armor meshes whether it can be done with just NifSkope. The armors should have multiple meshes and the same body type, otherwise you'll need a few more programs to make it.Link the armors you mentioned and exactly what you want it to look like. I'll take a look and help if I can
0Theara
You'll most likely need a 3D modeling software for most armor, if it not a separate mesh. I personally use 3ds max, this tutorial should cover the ground basic of editing armor in Skyrim using 3ds. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL38C28CE97107F8F3 Follow along til part 10. you should have a basic knowledge of delete armor mesh and reskin it. It's not difficult and doesn't require much learning curve.
grandpauj1
Thanks for the reply's. @ Willette8, at the risk of sounding like a total noob, I have no clue how to link the armors to this reply. I tried to put up some "modifications" I did in Photoshop but I kept getting an error message "This upload failed" I have attached photos to post/reply's before so...... the pics are.jpg and the they are like 600 KB so not sure why I can't put them up. Will try to figure that out this evening. @ OTheara, thanks for the link (sure wish I knew how to do that) I kinda looked at it, will check it out some more this evening. Thanks again for the help. grandpauj1
Ok, I want to first thank you guy's for the help. I watched the tutorial and it was very helpful. I looked up the software and about craped on my self!! That is off the hook. Think I will just have to live with out it. I know I can get a download for free, but to me it is dishonest for me to say I am a student and I am not, just to get it for free. I did download "Blender", but it is black and white next to Autodesk. Does any buddy know of a Blender for dummy's type tutorial like the one above. Thanks again. grandpauj1
Sorry for major delay, I kinda checked it out and will give it a bit more time once I have some free time. Looks like there is a lot more work involved then I thought there would be. Thanks again (-:
