Fight with 15 radroaches slows game to halt.

100 roaches @ 300 % speed mult ... definitely slower ... still playable.

 

The shotgun anyways ...

 

Add edit : Flamer slowed it again slightly ... but not much.

Although seems like only 2 err 3 are getting the immolation effect.

 

It is knocking on the door of unplayable though.

 

Think that speed mult was the culprit ... gona test again with it back down.

 

And also ... the load in hang was now near 2 sec.

 

Another add edit : Well I scaled them to .3 and put the speed mult back to 200.

 

It was definitely better. I guess the next step would be to only have 70 again.

Cuz from a visual perspective ... I didn't really see a difference between the 2 amounts.

 

Also the load in hang was better this time ... and more roaches had the immolation effect.

 

Final edit : Well I was thinking there was a magic number ... so I knocked the number of roaches down to 64. Gota say ... it worked pretty well ;)

Oh I forgot to mention ... at scale of .3 , I lowered their attack reach to 125. Seems the attack reach scales with them oddly or I'm just not understanding the sliding scale at play here? So with their default reach of 64 ... when I had them scaled to .1 ... they could not attack the player.

And setting it at 200 seemed good for them. But at .2 it seemed they could attack to far away. So then 175 seemed better. And I guess at .3 150 would have been the same ... but 125 wasn't bad ... although maybe could have been a little higher for a better balance ?

 

Also you mentioned you had their health at 1pt ... was that what the radroach you duplicated was set at ?

Because the one I did , was set at 12 pts. Which later I lowered to 5pts
