Judg3Dead Posted February 4, 2018 Share Posted February 4, 2018 hi im new here altho im sure i was on this site very long time ago using it but to now back to modding (skyrim) i have the base edition which ive heard is best one to have? for modding but when i look at mods it says out of date ect ect due to legendary edition? do i need to buy leg edition to mod now or was it an update for the game cant quite make sense off it ha. iXenite Posted February 6, 2018 Share Posted February 6, 2018 Legendary Edition just means the original Skyrim + all DLC. There are two releases of Skyrim on the PC. 1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011)2. Skyrim Special Edition (2017) The "Legendary" edition is what Bethesda decided to name the version of the game that included all DLC. There is zero difference between the "Legendary" edition and the original 2011 Skyrim + all DLC. If you have Skyrim + all DLC you have the "Legendary" edition. If you had Skyrim + all DLC before the release of the Special Edition than you were gifted the Special Edition for free (it would have automatically been added to your Steam library).
