Im a huge Willie Nelson fan, he's my favourite Singer/Songwriter of all time.

Anyone here a fan?

My favourite song of his would have to be Always On My Mind, although Elvis did this song first I have to say Willie's version is more emotional, the message of the song is so intense, you can really feel his emotions while he preforms it.

What would your guys favourite Willie Nelson songs be? and have any of you ever seen him live? I so wish I could but sadly he dosn't tour the world anymore, or at least dosn't come to New Zealand.

Yes, I am a huge Willie fan, and I have seen him in person, He gives one of the best in person performances you could ever want to see. He really gets in touch with his audience. There is no BS about him. I was fortunate enough to see him in a small venue where everyone was pretty close to the performers, which made it even better.

I agree that his version of Always on My Mind was the best one recorded. Several people have done it. I think the Brenda Lee had the very first one.

I started to try and pick my favorite of his songs, and realized there are just too many. He has written some of the best country songs of all time, such as Crazy, and Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground (one of my favs), and Hello Walls. I loved his Red Headed Stranger Album and his Stardust Album.

I love Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To be Cowboys (with Walylon), Help Me Make It Through the Night (by Kris Kristofferson), On The Road Again, Last Thing I Needed First Thing This Morning, Pancho and Lefty, Forgiving you was Easy. I could go on and on...

I will try to pick three (or four) for you though. I think I like Angel Flying too Close to the Ground, Always on My Mind and Red Headed Stranger or maybe Time of the Preacher the best. But the fact is, he could sing the phone book with his gravelly baritone and it would be fine with me. You always know it is Willie the very first chord of his guitar, don't you. He is very cool.

So yes, I guess you could say I am a fan.....

You're right, A. I cannot believe I left that one out. The intro on that vid was excellent. Thanks for including it.

Btw, I don't think I remembered that you were a fan of his..
