...

... apply the App can handle >2Gb flag and save.

where is this flag? I right click on properties and don't see anything like that under any of the tabs.

Thanks.

It's not on the properties page, you will need a 3rd party tool to get access to the >2Gb flag

I use this one

CFF Explorer

It's free to use, just download and install

run the program and open SKSE_Loader.exe or right click on SKSE_loader.exe and select open with CFF Explorer

on the left hand page select file header

on the right hand page, look for the Characteristics line click the click here button.

check the App can handle >2Gb address space box

click ok and go to the file menu at the top

save and overwrite the original executable

I'm her to debunk this garbage. oh, wait. it seemed to have done something positive. Very strange. My FPS also went up standing behind breezehome looking at the wall is one of my worst locations. I drop into the mid to low 40's. After the patch, I'm stable just under 50 or at. So net about +5 fps. Sure it may not be a lot, but everything in this game tha helps gameplay is a bonus.

I've not crashed in over an hour. Since the 1.6 was forced on me, I have been crashing every 15-20 minutes.

Big Hugs ;)

Eh wow......been having trouble myself with stuttering, CTD and lower fps since I updated to the new patch.....tried out the 4gb large awareness patch, a just WoW. Increased my fps by ~8fps maybe abit more, no stuttering and no CTD experienced as of yet. Whereas I use to crash between every 15mins - 3 hours depending on how skyrim felt if I didn't give it a sweetroll. So cheers :)

I don't think the issue has anything to do with Bethesda, but what mods you're running. I play stock and have zero crashes, and the only slow down I had was due to a collision error in that one Foresworn area where it sometimes spawns a giant frost spider inside a tent too small for it to move. Kill the spider, solve the problem. Edited by Stemin

You may be right but I'd rather not play Skyrim at all than go back to an unmodded game.
