Xenobuzz Posted April 3, 2012 Share Posted April 3, 2012 Hey, all! I was so glad that I dropped by the Nexus a few days ago, because I just happened to notice that DC Subway was the Hot File. Man, what an awesome mod! A new way to get to locations without the creep & save approach that's usually necessary, a large expansion of space in which other modders can add their own contributions, and I get to ride a subway train! WOOT! Now, I don't believe that I use a lot of mods that drastically alter the way the game works. The vast majority of the ones I've chosen have added or altered details and structures. For example, NMC's Texture Pack and the DC Interiors mod (can't find it on the Nexus ATM to give the creator kudos) are fantastic expansions to an already great game. I'm hoping to get Large Address Aware Enabler working next week so that I can revel in the viridian beauty of BA_Wasteland Restoration. Of course, Mart's Mutant Mod and Fellout have done MUCH to make the Wasteland a more interesting and colorful place to look at and travel in. What are your favorite mods of this type? Are there others that open up previously closed areas/buildings? Are there others that add more atmosphere? One would be Clean Deluxe which removes some of the unneccessary clutter around the buildings and metro. Also, Vanishing Piles that removes the goo and ash piles after using energy weapons. The goo and ash piles will be removed when you return to the area. A very good exploration mod is Shadows and Dust. It is very well done and enjoyable. It opens a couple of buildings near the Nuka Cola Factory. You should also consider FWE-Fallout Wanderers Edition. It adds a lot to the game. You should also get FO3Edit and the additional download of the manual. It will help reduce mod caused ctd. By the way, FWE adds a silenced sniper rifle, silenced chinese assult rifle and a lasar sniper rifle. MERC2 has a couple of good quests and adds an awesome shock sniper rifle.I'm glad to hear that you got your transfer completed and your game is running smoothly.
