neiljwd
Hi, a mod I'd like would be one where my appearance actually mattered. It's a bit deflating to download some amazing looking armour, steal emperors robes, or wield a mighty daedric battle axe, and have Carlotta Valentia treat me exactly the same as if I was dressed in prison rags.it's be very immersive if my characters appearance made a notable difference to how people reacted to and greeted me, even quests offered. Also sexuality, a female with massive weight slider, might get cheaper prices, a muscular hero not get threatened by a random bandit, things like that. I'm not a modder but I think this would be very difficult to do, would involve changing very many components/characters within the game, mammoth task. That's not even considering the HOW of doing. I'd guess maybe like having a disease, NPC's have specific dialogue if that box is ticked. Not sure it can do variance though,Maybe look at the armour value of a piece, or gold worth, So yeah pretty impossible I reckon, but just thought I'd share it, as I think it's a massive shame that some modders amazing art work is completely irrelevant to the citizens of Skyrim. :(
Nick_Jin
Morrowind already had this back in 2002.
neiljwd
Well that makes me hopeful we might see something of the like again. :)Does anyone know if it was successful or am I alone in wanting this kind of feature?
AuroraMoon
Morrowind already had this back in 2002. yeah. It really made me feel good when some random npc would say things like: "Wow, those are some really nice clothes you're wearing! where did you get those?" Now the only time in Skyrim they would comment on my appearance is if I'm wearing Deardic armor... and that's usually only if a guard notices it. and i hate wearing dedaric armor. Although at the same time I also don't want all of people in skyrim to be completely shallow. I don't think it would be realistic for a person to suddenly like you if you were decked out in finery. If it's a npc that hates you, they should say something like: "Humph, you think dressing up in such fine clothes impresses me? Far as I'm concerned, you're just a well-dressed pig!" or something like that. =D I can understand if some certain characters really were that shallow though. I know that one snobby guy in Whiterun might dislike you when you're in rags and then suck up to you when you're dressed up. aoxer
10 months later and this is still on my wanted list. Still a pipe dream? The reason why this was done in Morrowind and not Skyrim is voice acting. To add it now would either require NPCs having silent dialog (subtitles only) or to have someone revoice all the NPCs that you want this to function with. It would be a huge project.
