Brillcs
I've had an account here for some time. Never posted, usually just lurked. I'm a console user(Xbone.) When the announcement was made that we would now have access to mod support I think every console user nearly died of shock. But I digress. I know that there are a ton of stolen mods up on Bethesda's site. I can't even imagine how infuriating it would be to have someone take your hard work and pass it off as their own. And in many cases screwing it up in the process. I wanted to pop over and say that folks like me really genuinely appreciate the work that all of you have done. And extend a huge thank you for allowing people to port your mods over with permission. And also apologize for the jerkoffs that aren't asking for permission. So I'll go back to lurking, but thank you. Your work is truly appreciated.
chucksteel
You don't have to lurk! Some of us know that it's not every console player that is the problem. I myself support console mods quite a bit, do ports when I can and generally try to help the community. This is partly because I play on both PC and XB1 myself but, it's also because console mods are here to stay (I think) and if we don't help to educate the people that are new to modding the situation will only get worse. So welcome to the community! I know a lot of console players are intimidated by the PC community but in the end we are all gamers.

The longer I stay here, the more I see mods that I want to use. Which then in turn gets me looking at rigs, which gets me the stare from the wife lol. Maybe it's time to trade her in for a younger model that is into gaming! Sorry just had too!
yakalrad
Just ignore chucksteel, wish I could trade him in for a younger modder. :P Kidding aside, I too am a console gamer (Xbox and PS4) who has only just recently garnered the nerve to post here. I have always done everything I can on beth.net to help combat the whole stolen mods fiasco. Sometimes it feels like a losing battle but at least it seems as if beth is taking some steps in the right direction recently. I ended up here because of my love for the game and the mods and I wanted to learn more about how things work. I have found that the people here, at least the ones I have had interaction with, have been nothing but kind and helpful and my fears about posting here have turned out to be unfounded. So yeah, I guess we are all just gamers after all. :)

Unfortunately it took them how long to do it.
payl0ad
OP, you do know that you can volunteer for QA work, right? Also, voice acting doesn't need a huge computer, neither does patching. Just saying, if you want to contribute you certainly can.

I would be happy to do the same for anyone else here, if testing on Xbox is even a thing anyone needs around here. Just how would one go about volunteering? I was asked to port one of my mods to console a number of times. I m not against consoles , but I don't own a console. The one that in theory can be ported to x-box is Settlement Markers. It's already polished to the point of no bug reports in a long time. If you find the mod enough intersting to test, I'd be really very thankful for the help. The existing version is not for consoles, but it would not take long to remove a few loose files so it's only .esp and .BA2 . If it's not something you like to play with, it's totally fine. But if you think that it could be useful for you, you can PM me and I will make a console test version. I just need someone who has some experience with testing on consoles, I have never seen a console in my life (apart from really old things like Sega) and have no idea how to go about testing

Being able to set up a shooting range is something us console users have been hoping would come along. Of course this means having to deal with Bethesda.net :P and probably the best thing to do would be to upload it to WIP so that I could download it and then spend a good amount of time giving it a thorough trial on Xbox. I am sure Chucksteel would be more than happy to give you any pointers in dealing with the sometimes frustrating Bethesda site. I’ll shoot you a PM! :)
